Dream Team tickets Dream Team ticket price becomes a |

My daughter's dream for many years has been to see a REAL broadway show. I mentioned to her that I saw "Wicked" would be coming to our area. She seemed VERY interested but was afraid that the tickets would be too expensive. I decided since there was a performance within a day of her birthday I would get us a couple of tickets for her birthday to remember. When I went to the venue where "Wicked" will be performed the first thing I saw for tickets was dream team. I automatically assumed that this is who the venue was using as their ticket broker so I didn't go any further. I bought us two very good seats reccomended by the agent, as I have not attended a show at this venue and am unaware of the lay out of the seating. I assume they ARE good seats but since the show isn't until March I really don't know for sure. What I do know is that when I opened my charge card bill today, I darn near fainted. I had recieved the tickets about a month ago and they were marked $80.50 each. I felt that was quite reasonable even with a nominal service fee to fulfill my daughter's dream for her birthday. Well, I doubt that you could even guess how much my card was charged for those two $80.50 seats. Are you sitting down? The fee was a whopping $418.44. Now, math is not my forte. However, if I figure correctly that amount is approximately three times what I paid for the tickets. If that is not a "Wicked" scam I don't know what one is. How are these people still in business? It seems to me that these are scalper's perporting to run an up and up business. There absolutely should be an unfair practice report filed against this company by all of the people that have been duped like myself. I am definately open to participating in a class action suit against this company for GROSSLY overcharging customer's. This type of practice makes me VERY leary of buying tickets to ANYTHING in the future. Who can you trust if this type of practice is legal? What a "wicked" shame that this experience has formed a black cloud over my daughter's dream birthday gift. She will not be aware of it but i sure as hell will be. I plan on making her dream birthday wish come through with flying colors regardless of what this piss poor, unprofessional and unscrupulous company does for a living.Professionally AND legally ripping off consumers. This company is is in dire need of an awakening. I think some REALLY negative publicity warning innocent people of their "Wicked " practices is definately called for. This is nothing less than a disgusting case of consumer fraud and should NOT in my opinion be allowed to go on any longer! |
