job success 350 Bay st, 9th Floor This is a SCAM Toronto, Ontario

A company - Lakewood consultant (out of no where), e-mail me, saying that they saw me in the internet (job sites) and is interested to forward my resume, whic I agree; although I was concerned because this company does not have physical address in their homepage. A few weeks later Job Success contacted me saying taht they git my reference from Lakewood consultant. They invited me saying that they have a job for me. I went there, but Mr Hameed seem not to be able to say clearly what job is it. It concerned me, in addtion to the fact that he keep saying aren't you concerned that you had been looking for a job for a while. He invited me to a second interview a week later, which I came (more out of curiosity). He keep not showing the real job opportunity, talking windingly and showing a few video. He also be littled and said the way I conduct my job seach is lacking. I was quiet, polite, and patient, while deep in my heart, I said, "please, quickly tell me what do you really want to say". He keep trying to set me up with an account ect. Finally he showed me a contract that said that itwill cost nearly $5,000. He tried to push me to sign rigt away, and was clearly upset when I have questions and said that I need extra time. When I went home and checked, I found other 8 people already reported the company ;).

Thank you very much for posting.I got a call "TORONTO PATHWAYS" with that # 647-288-4636. And a lady gave me an interview tomorrow to talk about my resume. I thought it was weird since I apply to it. And I asked her if it was about a particular job, she said they wanted to talk in general about my job placement process and my resume. Some thing about it seems weird, so I Googled it and found this and another site that said this information. So i called in to cancel my appointment and she was abit rude but cancelled it.

Just wanted to say thank you for posting this and stay safe.
Good luck on your job search.

This company used to be RDG back in early 2000 and it appears as though they have changed the company name and phone number on several occasions in an attempt to disassociate themselves from what ever mess they have made in the past. Perhaps they should change their location as well, along with the name of the VP's. In any event I got a call from them 3 days prior to Christmas and I was already booked up with other meetings. I found it very odd that they were not very understanding that I had prior commitments along with personal shopping to do prior to Christmas. I had called them back as asked, to set an appointment after Christmas. While looking up the address for places to park, I came across all of the complaints and I must say thanks to everyone and the internet. People like this have no place in society as far as I'm concerned. The service that they are proposing to provide is supposed to help people and not put them in a position that will disable them from living a productive life. I have more respect for the person who holds me up at gun point for my wallet. I'm glad that I did not waste my time, do yourself the same favor.

I just got a phone call from Dianna as well today on January 19, 2012. When she said she is calling from Toronto Pathway it was little werid cause I never heard of it before. And I told her I can come around 11am but she insisted me to come at 10am. I almost have gone there if I didn't check this! Thanks everyone! I cannot believe they got so many people including me.

I also got a call from 647 288 4636 today on January 24, 2012. Her name was Rachel and she asked me to go to 350 Bay st, 9th floor at 11:30 tomorrow. I am so glad that I googled her number and saw this report. Otherwise I was planning to go to their place which is about 2 hours far from the city in which I live! Thanks a lot everybody.

I to have become a victim to the hope of getting a genuine service from a reputable organization. After my initial meeting I was left with a feeling of discontent and curiosity. My intuition told me to research this address and sure enough, I found the former comments.

What more can I say but thank you for sites like this and to the people that post these comments.

On a personal note,
I am left with a genuine fear of society as such organizations can exist and operate in the heart of the city to prey on the hope of good people who are sincerely seeking assistance. I honestly do not know who to trust anymore and have lost faith in humanity.

We are truly sheep among the wolves and there are a heck of a lot more wolves these days.

Got the call today, same number, same Rachel. She blubbered to quickly I didn't get the name of the company. The number, from Yellow Pages, belongs to RD Group but the company is called Toronto Passways or Pathways. The appointment is also 10:00am with Mike Mitchell.
I asked if they had s specific job in mind and was surprised that this Rachel turned into a parrot and like a robot repeated the same opening statement of the call "we are so and so and got your resume and a director wants to meet you" ... clearly evading a direct answer to the question. Then she got a little too arrogant, "your looking for a job right!!".

I just got call from Rachel asking me to come for the interview the next day. She talked fast and the name of the company escaped me, but I was able to write down the address and googled it immediately. Your site pooped up - WOW! Thank you all for speaking up and publishing your experiences.

Since Rachel didn't leave her phone number I used the one found in the comments here and sure enough a young woman with quite unprofessional manners responded and put me on hold for a while. She certainly is paid to pretend and confuse their potential victims. First I asked her about the position I am supposed to be interviewed for then i questioned her about the agency and how did they receive my resume and/or contact details. It became clear from her inability to respond in a straightforward manner (her lies) this company is less than legitimate. It is obscene what the honest job seekers are faced with - I can't believe these folks are not in jail yet.

TORONTO PATHWAYS located on 9th floor, 350 Bay Street, indeed is a SCAM!

CRA should investigate them as well as RCMP and Toronto Police. I am reporting this predators everywhere including my MP and MPP.

Hey,
thank you all for your comments! Today I got call from Susan for the interview tomorrow, on March 27-2012! ( the address still the same - 350 Bay St, 9th floor, phone 647-288-4636).

can you believe or not - those guys still on Market. After all yours comments and even tv advertising http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2012/recruitmentripoff/ - they are still abuse people.

Amazing, I just hung up the phone with Susan who made an appointment for me to go meet "Mr. Fisher". Natalie you have saved me a trip as the address phone number and details are all still the same. This is not an official "SCAM" per say, what it is, is unethical marketing preying upon the unemployed and desperate folk seeking to find employment. Unfortunatly, they are at times successful in capturing the desperation of job seekers and are able to stay in business.

Job seekers warned about Toronto firm's pitch

Toronto Pathways charged thousands in fees but no job materialized

CBC News

A private company that purportedly aims to help people find work is under fire for the hefty fees it charges and the services that clients say it fails to deliver.

Toronto Pathways is billed as a job-search marketing firm, which promotes its ability to help people find new jobs, whether they are currently employed or not.

Serdar Feyzioglu of Brampton, Ont., received a call from someone at Toronto Pathways, advising him that he had a resume that caught their attention.

"She called me and she said my resume was picked out of many and she also said that they have a client that is looking for an engineer, " Feyzioglu told CBC's Marketplace.

CBC's Marketplace will have a full report on Toronto Pathways on Friday night. Recruitment Ripoff will air at 8 p.m. ET.

When he got the call, Feyzioglu had been out of work for months, his wife had been laid off and the couple had been forced to live with her parents.

The prospect of landing a job prompted Feyzioglu to attend two meetings at Pathways and to pay more than $5, 000 in fees.

But in the end he did not get a job, only training on how to write a resume and how to conduct himself in an interview.

Feyzioglu and his wife believed he was being offered a job and that Toronto Pathways was like a headhunting firm.

Marketplace sent in a staffer with a hidden camera to a meeting with Toronto Pathways, in which a Pathways career director promised the CBC staffer that she would be "absolutely" certain to get a job.

Nick Corcodilos, a corporate headhunter who provides free advice to job seekers, said that he has seen similar operations to Pathways before.

"No one, no one can guarantee anyone else a job, except an employer after it makes the decision to hire someone, " he told Marketplace.

"Anyone who is charging you, and telling you that they're going to guarantee you a job, is probably lying to you."

What's worse, many of the services a client gets from Toronto Pathways are available for free, or for much less. Marketplace also discovered that the “satisfied, valued employers” listed on the company’s website have no affiliation with Pathways.

The company’s president faces a trail of small claims cases and online complaints from angry job hunters. But it’s not just Toronto Pathways people are complaining about. Marketplace discovered that Pathways changed its name five times in seven years.

When asked about the name changing, company president Dale Smith said "brand marketing just allows a fresh market approach."
Smith claims his company doesn't cold-call potential clients from sites such as Monster, Workopolis or LinkedIn, and says the company "can't be responsible" for what customers think is being offered to them.
"We can't be responsible for their perception, " Smith told Marketplace.

"They're obviously searching and they're eager."

Pathways has also been criticized by Canada's privacy commissioner.

In a recent investigation the commissioner found that Pathways used tactics that included misleading a client into believing the company was "securing" a job for them and also failed to be "plain and clear" with potential clients about the services being offered.

Scaminformer.com is a terrible company. This company does not allow stuff to be erased unless you pay their lawyer that they have advertised with them. SCAM INFORMER SHOULD BE ERASED FROM THE INTERNET. This Scam Informer website is a fraud!!!

It is so easy for ex and fired employees to slander here. It does not investigate the claims they have on this website!
