Jeff Davidson & Coral Resorts Hilton Head SC Rob Lauderman Verification Officer FRAUD!! LIES!!! SCAMSTERS!!! BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY FROM CORAL RESORT
30th of Jun, 2011 by User169661
Boy were we fooled by Jeff Davidson and Coral Resorts Thanksgiving 2010. We toured and talked and I told him I was not interested in buying because I already had TWO timeshares. He wanted to know where my timeshares were. Then he said that they would take the Ellington-Festiva Resort timeshare if I would purchase from them. They said that I would still have to make payments for 6 months and if my timeshare had not sold within those 6 months that they would "eat" the loss and buy it themselves. Well, it has been 6 months! Festiva is wanting their June payment. I called Coral Resorts multiple times before leaving a message for them to call me. When he did call me and I explained the situation he put me on hold while he went to retrieve my file. He asked me if we had READ the paperwork because in the paperwork it states that they the seller has no resale program, but that they had put my Festiva resort for sale through another company, but that they never guaranteed that it would sell. We were also told that we would be able to use this every year at anytime and showed us ways that we could have FIVE weeks of vacation through them. It all makes sense now. They are slick as oil. They got our signatures and told us that we would have to come back to pick up the paperwork. When we did go back he gave us our bag with our books inside and showed them to us again. Walked us to the car and then said "Oh, I almost forgot to give you your paperwork". Now I have really been looking at this paperwork! Yep, it says that we got a BRONZE (I have a RED at Festiva- well actually I still have it don't I?) It also states Every THIRD year Usage!!! No wonder you pay such a LOW maintenance fee every year! In about 4 weeks I will be going there and I will be loud talking to Mr Jeff Davidson. They won't be getting any sales that day. I will also take my recorder! All Coral Resort owners need to band together and get a class action lawsuit against this company!!!

Is your signature on the first page of the contract?

Are your initials on the first page of the contract?

Are there any other documents attached to your contract that hide the first page?

Want to know why?

I suspect the first page of your contract is NOT the same page you read when signing.

On my contract, I noticed the signatures did not appear on the first page, but didn't think much else about it.

I too bought an ANNUAL ownership too, but my documents say "every third year usage".

You're not the only one this has happened to.

Again, I doubt the phrase was on the original contract you signed.

There's no reason they couldn't change the format of their contract to include the signatures on the first page.

Or is there?

Please continue making ALL payments until this is resolved.

I have contacted the BBB.

Several others have done likewise in the past week.

Coral Resorts has been very bold with this technique... and I think they've used it one time too many!!!

If you don't mind me asking... when are you going to HHI? I may be down there around the same time!

We were also victims of a scam by Coral Resort at Hilton Head Island. We went to a time share presentation and our agent was Patrick Budnick. First of all, he presented to us a three bedrooms unit in Coral Sands and have us in RCI as owners of floating silver week for a two bedrooms in Island Link. We were under the understanding that we were buying a three bedroom red week as he presented to us. At the start of the presentation, we specificaly told Patrick that we already owned a timeshare with Spinnaker and that we absolutely did not want to own a new one because we would not be able to afford another payment? He assured us that it would not be the case. He offered that Coral Resorts will buy our Spinnaker timeshare from us, give US $ 6200.00 dollars for it at closing of the Coral Sand resort, which 6200 dollars we will apply toward the Coral Resort timeshare leaving us with a total of about 4000 dollars after a down payment of 1200 dollars which would reduce our monthly payment to about 89 dollars a month in comparison to our Spinnaker payment of 150 dollars. He even told us that payment to Spinnaker while we await for closing will be also reimbursed at closing. When we got home, we received documents from ES Financial that closing was done on August 2nd and that our monthly payment of $236.25 starts on September 2nd, but we never received the 6200 dollars check promised that we would receive at closing. This past Saturday, we received documents to be signed by Resort Solution regarding the listing of our Spinnaker timeshare, we have no clues what is resort solution? He never told us anything about that. As Patrick would not reply to any of our messages, we called Coral Resorts, we spoke to a man by the name of David Haas and explained this whole thing to him, he was very rude and basically told us that we were idiots, that such a deal does not exist and that basically we were lied to. As we start gathering pieces of information, we realized that we were coerced by Patrick into buying another timeshare. Now we have to make payment to Spinnaker and to Coral resorts or do we? We still cannot believe that we fell into the trap of this man deceptive and misleading lies.
I totally agree that all victims should come forward to file a class action law suit against Coral Resorts.

I agree, please, lets band together and get something going. We can not just stand by and let them keep lying and ripping people off of their hard earned money. Me and my wife we scammed and lied to as well. We were told we were getting a Floating Red Week that we could use anywhere between March and October, it turns out we have week 46 in NOVEMBER!!!

Who is taking the lead on a class action against Hilton not so grand timeshares? Five days is not enough time to digest what was signed and come to the realization it's not woth it. Very subtle high pressure, . At no time were we told we may have our attorney review all paperwork before signing. Iam requesting my senator open a senate subcommittee investigation regarding all the lost money from consumers. There appears there is no advantage in having a timeshare. Also canceling I am finding I need an attorney. This was at las Vegas. I still don't understand how we did something so stupid.
