Stay clear at all costs of this company. I was a tenant of their's for a year as well as had many people I knew doing business with them and they are the biggest backwards, most crooked, stingy people I know. Just to give you a background, the comptroller is a registered sex offender, the managing director son is a check kiting, unregistered real estate broker that hangs his license with Terrapin Realy that has no idea he even uses their name as a brokerage. The father is a crook that owes money all over town to companies and trys to insinuate that his name has something to do with the old detective Landsman that was popular, but guess what, no relation at all and believe me, that Landsman family would want nothing to do with him. The father, Jeff, also trys to get people to believe he is some profolific entrepreneur that scams his way into anything for free that will get his name out there. The sons whole company is backed by a lawyer grandfather that really never amounted to much other than giving his silver spoon grandson money to support is failing real estate venture. Just contact "real" real estate agents around town and everyone has a store about the shady, crooked father and son Landsmans. Eventually, the real estate ethics committee will catch up to them, but if you have any doubt, just contact Baltimore City and ask about them. I did, and it is amazing what they will say about them. They get publicity from the community from trying to make others believe they are going to do some great project, but just drive around town and you will see their projects never end up happening. Also, look online and find out about how many people have their company tied up in litigation. Its a good thing the family has a lawyer supporting their company, because from the looks of it they are going to need a lawyer. Please do your research before deciding to venture into business with these crooked business associates. Also, just look into how many contractors around town they owe money to. And if they ever want to buy property from you...BE VERY WARE...they send you check copies for down payments from closed accounts. If you receive an offer, make sure you call the bank and find out if the checks are good. They escrow and down payment money that doesnt exist. If you dont believe me, just ask around town. Call real estate agent at Remax, Long and Foster, Century 21, etc. Everyone has a story about the dead beat Landsmans. |
