I have been contacted by "LILY" at JC Christensen and Associalte Inc to settle a four year old account. That they secured from HSBN and Arrow Financial Services. This stems from an issue I had with Gateway Computers that has never been resolved to my satisfaction by Gateway Computers originally. I ordered a computer on line, received it was not satisfied with it and tried to send it back. I finally after several months of going back and forth sent it to Gateway. Gateway claimed they never received it. This whole issue has been a very frustrating experience with an non transparent company. My credit is affected and currently this company is offering me "let's make a deal for 2545.79" or be harrased for 4,628.71. They claim they are not acting for Gateway but are a collection agency and are reporting the original creditor as HSBC and the current creitor is LVNV Funding LLC and do note the merchant as Gateway. This company has information from my bank and other accounts which I consider questionable. They even told me what credit card I could use to pay it. I do not have the funds to pay for this and I sent it back. I will not pay what I consider "blackmail". I advised "Lilly" that I would not pay it, I don't owe it and as of today I want anything from this agency in writing. I have requested that they do not contact me by phone or computer. I would like to end this. Please advise.
