The product is a piece of crap. |

Like others I am dissatisfied with this product. My first clue should have been the fast talking salesman, makes a used car salesman look like an angel. the concept of the steamer is what I was looking for. When I first used it it seemed to work ok, but unlike the saleman said you cannot use it on a flat surface, such as an ironing board or steaming new bedspreads or table clothes. When I went to fill the water to continue steaming it sputtered and started leaking brown liquid appearing to be rust. What the heck is this. Thank goodness it did not ruin any of my shirts.
I decided to return the item to the mall, and of course there is no refund just another steamer. My friend and I are going to visit the mall and stand by the booth and when people are approached by the salesman we are going to tell the buyer what a piece of crap it is and hand out copies of the complaints that have been posted until I get my $59.00 back, in cash. I'm retired so staying there all day is not a problem for me. Give me my refund or I can be your worst nightmare. All this is legal for me due to the fact that I'm in the common area of the mall.
We'll see how this works.
I also called my credit card co and until the charge hits my statement I can't put a non-pay on it. That doesn't make since to me but we'll see how that goes also.
I am also notifying the mall rental office to inform them that Ital steam is being sold knowing that it is a defective product. they can read the reviews. Don't know what the mall's legal obligation to the customers are but will find out.
I also called the customer service number but we all know they are just answer machines.
I'm still without a steamer which I could get alot of use out of and plan on purchasing on from Macy's, so if I'm disappointed they actually have a return policy.
I feel pretty dumb on being duped but nice to hear I wasn't alone.
Thanks for letting me vent. This won't stop people from scamming others but sure has made me more untrusting to our fellow man and harder for the honest small business to make it. I'll stick to the known stores from now on. Paying a little more does pay off in the end.
