To set the record straight - we, unfortunately, hired the thieves at ProVacation Rentals as "property mangers" for the one rental home we own in Kissimmee. The person known as Snowbird is Raquel D'Saronno, who was the owner of the business. It didn't take us long to figure out their scam, not only on us, but on many other people who entrusted them with their vacation properties. Ultimately, we were only out $400 (I still have the bad check written on a closed account). There were many other unfortunate people, both homeowners and people trying to book holiday homes, who fared much worse.
If you care to Google Raquel D'Saronno, you will see the criminal record listing the jail time she served in NY State for defrauding the State Housing Authority for almost $50, 000, with her husband, and accomplice, Andino D'Saronno.
It appears I have struck a nerve with her and she is trying to damage my intact reputation, as an act of sheer desperation. The Google search will also reveal her recent arrest by Osceola County Sheriff's Dept. for check fraud.
