| WARNING!! DO NOT MAKE HOTEL RESERVATIONS WITH THIS COMPANY. They claim to be a travel company that makes hotel reservations at wholesale costs for travelers going to conventions and tradeshows. You will be solicited by a sales representatives who says they are working closely with the convention and visitor's bureaus to make sure they can get you an "early bird discount rate" or a "discount because they use wholesale rates". You have to pay for the reservations in advance as they claim they pay for the rooms upfront and thus can get you a better deal. Read the contract they ask you to sign very carefully. In the fine pring it states if you cancel you cannot get your money back for 30 days after your travel dates, plus you can be charged a 10% penalty even though they say there are no cancellation fees. They also state on the contract they cannot guarantee the rooms but the language is confusing. They also charge you at least an additional 3% on the tax charges. Ask them to itemize your bill (as they do not when they send you the contract and booking information) and ask them exactly what the tax rate is for the city you are traveling to and see what answer your sales representative gives you. Then check the tax rate for that city (on the internet or through the hotel you are staying at) and you will see that they are charging you an additional 3% (sometimes more) of taxes without telling you. They also will give you an additional discount if you pay by check, but you will have not recourse to get your money back if you pay by check. |

| They take your money up front and DO NOT book your rooms. They pocket the money. When you call to complain they send you to voicemail or Michelle, the receptionist. They need to be taken to court. They've been doing this for years! Possible money laundering. |

| As of February 23, 2012, the Attorney General has sent out letters to individuals that filed a complaint. In the letter it states that the Attorney General is not filing any criminal charges against the company as IEP has been giving refunds to consumers/customers that were due refunds. If you are due a refund, contact IEP. If you have tried to get a refund and have not, contact the Attorney General (of Nevada) again so that they know whether IEP is following up on what they said they would do for their customers. Employees and companies had complained they didn't have rooms when confirmed or not paid for, but the Attorney General will not file charges against IEP. The reason they won't is because if they do, IEP will file for bankruptcy and no refunds will be given to anyone. If IEP is still operating, do not book reservations with them as you could run into this situation again in the future. |
