International Electronics Superstore Int'l Electronics Superstore oversells products by 500% of price Sunrise, Florida |

My wife and her cousin were at the Sawgrass Mills Mall with two toddlers. Her cousin wanted to buy some headphones so they entered this store, International Electronics Supserstore. The guy make small talk and is very friendly, and they decide on buying some headphones for $80. However, before they make the purchase he offers them "a better deal," some Sony headphones that allegedly cost $299, but for them, he would leave the price at "only" $175. So they get the "better deal" which ends up being a worse scam. As soon as they get home, they go online to find out if the headphones really cost $299 and what a great deal they had gotten, but with a quick search find out the headphones only cost $50 on the Sony website itself, $30 on Amazon. What a freaking scam. The store has a no refunds policy so we will try to deal with them tomorrow but I doubt much will happen. In any case, that's not the point, this is such an atrocious scam I don't know where to begin. |

Hello, when I read this post I was amazed because the same thing happened to my dad.
On May the 20th of 2011 my dad got in to International Electronics Superstore located at 12801 W Sunrise Blvd Suite #533 because he specifically wanted to buy the NIKON D 90 CAMERA (here is the link: http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Digital-SLR-Cameras/25446/D90.html). Nevertheless the sells man (of who we know that it is not from the US, tall, bold, around 45 to 50 years old) who took care of my dad convinced him to buy an OLYMPUS SP-800UZ Digital Camera, strongly saying that this option was better than the Nikon, that It will be more expensive but that it was worth it. My dad, trusting on the professionalism and knowledge of the sells man, agreed to buy this last option paying before taxes $899.99 for the Olympus Camera.
We did our research and now we know that the Olympus camera doesn’t cost $899.99, it is $349.99 as you can see at this link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=SP-800UZ&N=0&InitialSearch=yes. We also know that it is not better than the Nikon. The sells man also made him sign a statement that said: “My signature below confirms that I do not want the box (boxes) for the Merchandise Purchased”. All of this facts easily shows that the sells man took advantage of my dad, and that he mislead him for some reason.
So, did you get your money back? Did you get a response from the manager? What can we do? |

Switzerland we will get it for 160.—Dollar and we paid in this shop

It is a shame and I feel really kidded!!

They lied to me, telling me that the merchandise cost more than the retail amount.
I was Scammed ! They put false sticker on the box, leading me to believe that the sicker was the retail price. Which in fact that was not true and charged me double the amount on retail.
How can they get away with doing this to good hard working people!!! |
