Imodel.com listed on the internet. The guy who is in charge of this website was introduced to my daughter by a good friend of my daughters from San Francisco. He needed someone to do profiles for the models that submitted to his website. She is very computer literate and agreed to such work. She signed a contract, but the address is in Italian (claims he lives between Italy and San Francisco, CA, USA). The address in Italy is a phony address.
Her contract was for 80 hours of internet profile work for $2,000 a month. Payable by the 1st and 15th. On the 1st she received a check for $500.00. The balance was due on the 15th. He continued to claim he would not pay her as she did not fill out the proper forms for employment...but she did.
She filled out a 1099, but than asked for her social security number to place her as an employee.
He claimed he checked her background for which she did not give him permission to do and claimed she had a shady background therefore refuses to pay her. This was not the agreement. My daughter who now lives with her real Dad and me (step-mom) is not a shady person. She is honest and hard working. She worked more than her 80 hours required so she could prove herself as a good contracted individual. To date, she has not received any money due her, no return emails, and again, looking into the situation, there is no contact information except for an email address to get in touch with him. If you own a professional up and up business, I do believe you would put on your website contact information. He has none. She only trusted him due to her good friend.
I believe in my heart, he is scamming women all over the world who think they are getting good modeling profiles and jobs by him.
