I purchased a 7.3L engine from Gator Engines in mid-September. The Core was returned to them by the shop that installed the new engine, within their (Gator) specifications. The Core charge has not been returned to me as of this date, February 9, 2011, almost 5 months after purchase. I have called Gator more than 20 times and have not had a human answer the telephone yet. I continue to connect to their "After Hours" answering machine, regardless of the time of day I call. I have left at least 15 messages for Sales, Customer Service, Core refund and have not received any calls back from them. It is like they are using caller ID to screen their calls and do not answer the phone for anyone they might recognize. The shop that installed the engine has even attempted to contact them for the purchase of another engine from them and also do not get any answer or returned phone call. Nor will they answer calls or return calls from my Bank. This creates some serious questions on my part of their willingness to support their Warranty. If they will not contact a person back concerning a $400 Core Refund, Imagine if you will, their willingness to contact a customer wanting to file a couple thousand dollar Warranty Claim. Be very cautious of Gator Engines. For now, I sit at the mercy of Gator Engines, who have taken an additional $400 from me on top of the amount paid to them for the engine. It is looking like the only option I may have is to take them to Court. Steve
