I purchased a 09 Accord new and have had problems with it starting with the day I took delivery, paint, the brake rotors were warped and almost caused me to loose control on several occasions and it happened again at about 29,000 miles and even though it was an issue they supposedly fixed I had to pay to have it fixed even though it was under warranty. The automatic door locks have been in due to locking and unlocking on their own continuously, they also would not unlock once to allow anyone into the rear seats, they would not work at all on at least three occasions. The air conditioner blows hot air in the summer when its 100 degrees outside, this has been in to be fixed at least four times and still does not work, once it didn't even leave the lot. The service tech told me " oh yeah its fixed, checked it myself, of course he is not there when I pick it up so when the porter brings it up its blowing hot air still and I ask him if this was normal and he said " no way" so back it went to service and I drive away in a Civic. Interior body panels not fitting and making very irritating noise, this has been in to be fixed at least 4 - 5 times and once they made it worse so it had to go back and fix the incompetent repair. I have taken it in to have the accessories they installed fixed because they had come loose. I have spent a lot of time in a Civic, a lot of time, when I paid for an Accord, if I had wanted a Civic I would have bought a Civic, and Clear Lake Honda's loaner cars are the filthiest, smelliest loaners that I have ever used. I almost always take it home and clean the sticky ,dirty interior and clean the inside of the windshield so I can see out of it. The carpets are filthy, the seats are dirty, all of the cup holders and any pocket for things like change are full of dirt. Then there is he gas, I have to fill the loaner to the level i received it then fill my car back up since they use my gas doing whatever. I end up putting gas into two cars, one I didn't even use it, but I have to replace it to the point that once the yellow warning was on when I picked it up and the needle was way past the empty line. Be very careful and if you start having problems use the lemon law or an attorney. |
