| Prestige Relocations changes name to Proamerica Moving and Storage however their scam is the same. Tresa and Daroll and Genesis Thoams are at it again. Compare the websites com and , they're worded the same. Tresa answers the phone and is ready to rip you off - look at all the reports on Prestige and expect the same from Proamerica - they are the same horrible lying stealing people. TXDOT and FMCSA are onto them and they are about to be going to jail - criminals all of them especially Tony and Tresa - Stafford Police are investigating them and ask about current investigations. Rick is the moving supervisor - he will steal your items , look out for the following phone numbers 281-403-4047 current number, 281-403-5030 old number, 832-387-3128 Ricks number, 281-857-9764 Daroll (Tony) number. They lie and steal your goods, then hold your goods hostage and charge you to get them delivered. THIEVES - Don't do business with them. They will RIP YOU OFF! Put them out of business and in jail! |

| I was a victim of this company, Prestige Relolations/ Proamerica Moving. I contracted to move from Houston, Texas to Dunwoody, Georgia. When they arrived, 2 hours later than scheduled, they came in a rental truck. I asked where their company truck was and they said it was the peak of the season for moving and they had to use a rental truck. My quote for the move was $1, 560. I lived in a one large bedroom apartment. When they arrived, they said that I had to pay $560.00 extra for the distance of the truck to my door. It was only down the stairs and a very short distance to their truck. Once they loaded everything, they said that I had to pay 70% upfront and no credit cards accepted. They said my total was $7, 200. they said they measured by the cubic feet. I called the main office andspoke to Tony, and he said that if I took it to be weighed that it would be 12, 000 pounds and it would cost me more! and if they pulled a weigh ticket, I had to pay on the ticket! I told him that I was not prepared to pay this kind of money, so he said that he would do me a FAVOR and reduce it to $5, 600. If I didn't pay, they would keep my things in storage and charge me a storage fee. I had no choice but to pay. They sub-contracted eight days later, without my knowledge, with a company out of Alabama. When the truck arrived eight days later, again, it was another rental truck, Penske. Before they unloaded, they said that I had to pay them an additional $275.00 for the distance of the truck to the door and the remaining amount of money had to be paid, before the would unload! Again, I had no choiced because they threatened me that they would keep my things in storage and I would have to pay storage. Thirty minutes later, after they started unloading, I get a knock on the door from the "Dunwoody Police" department. They said that the driver of the truck was arrested because the truck was reported stolen!!! They also said because the truck was stolen, the contents on the truck was also considered stolen!!! I was ready for a nervous breakdown. Acouple of days later, the "Dunwody Police" informed me that they would release my things that was compounded with the truck, because they knew that I was a victim of circumstances and that my name was on all the cartons. I demanded that the sub-contractor go pick my things up from the compound 30 miles out. I had to drive there myself in order for it to be released. they picked up my stuff in another rental truck and delivered the same day. My furniture was damaged beyond repair!!! It was a nightmare. I called the Attorney General, the FTC, the BBB and nothing was done about it. I tried to claim for damages from Proamerica and they disappeared from the face of the earth, even though they sent me a claim form. I am beside myself and will never trust another moving company again. Just to think that there are no Federal Laws governing these crooks. They say it is a Civil Matter, and they know that it will never come to pass. I am at a very big loss money wise and my furniture which was new is ruined. They try to conficate your things so that they can make money with an auction house, after they already have 70% of your money. I hope and pray that someone will be strong enough to put these people and other people like them in jail and prevent them fron hiding under different names for their company. it is just so sad they they can get away with it and no one can do anything about it.
