I have read the reports on here regarding Heidleberg German Shephards and we have the exact same experience. We have a 4 year old GS that we got from them as a puppy. Although we love him dearly and he is the sweetest dog you will ever meet, he has been full of problems. Just like the others his testicles never dropped and we had to pay several hundred dollars to have him nuetered because it is a more difficult surgery than a standard neuter. I called Gene to let him know and classic Gene started screaming and yelling at me and said I could just bring back the dog and exchange him and he was not responsible in any way. Since that time our dog has had non stop yeast, skin and ear infections. He has a huge bald patch all across his back and is on constant medicaition for yeast. He has now been diagnosed with a muscular problem and can barely walk anymore. He is only 4!! When I called Gene just to inquire about my vets diagnosis, he again began yelling at me and calling me a murderer. My kids were in the car and started crying. He said that it is all our fault that our dog is having all these problems because we did not feed him their crazy ass diet. This is our second heidleberg and 5th dog in 15 years. Our first Heidleberg lived 15 trouble free years and was NEVER fed the diet and neither are our other dogs and they are perfectly healthy. For whatever reason I think these problems began with this company about 5 years ago. I will NEVER purchase another dog from them based on the treatment that they have given us with this dog. They are CRAZY and do not care about these dogs. As a side note I called them a year ago to get the name of a trainer becasue I had rescued a pit bull/boxer mix and wanted to get some training done. Gene asked me what the breed was and when I told him he said he would waste one dime getting her trained and that she should have never even been born and should be put to sleep. Totally unprofessional horrible person. Oh and by the way Gene, if you diet is so darn good why are you in a cart? Maybe you shoud try eating it and see how it works.
