Took my money and didn't complete the work.

He didn't give me any contact information but his cell phone: 469-471-2368. The only address I can find is 7505 Gillon Drive, Rowlett, TX 75089. He has an old My Space page at www.myspace.com/haydennew. He has a record for falsifying a public document. Looking at other complaints about him he also gives his name as Hayden Preston. He's a smooth talker. Don't do business with him. He's ripped people off with Christmas Light scams too.

He was painting my house and due to his delays he didn't finish before we were leaving on vacation. I agreed to pay him in full minus $100.00 (paid him $1050) and he agreed to finish while we were gone. I would pay him the rest when we returned. He never came back to finish and would not respond to text messages and voice mail. It will cost much more than $100 to complete what he was supposed to do. So far the lowest estimate I've gotten to complete what he didn't do is $845.00. Lesson learned: I should have held back the money until the job was done.

He left the following work undone:

Repair/Paint Chimney: He tore the rotted wood trim off the chimney, but didn't replace it and caulk and paint, leaving an opening for water to get in the attic.
Paint front door black
Paint back door
Most of the wood eaves remain to be painted
Paint remaining gutters & downspouts
Repaint gutters where original paint he applied did not stick.

I am thinking about taking him to small claims court.
