I purchased a 1.46 cu. ft. Pulsator Washing Machine online from Home Depot on July 15th, 2011 for $232.14 .. Brand new, just out of the box, and it didn't work (error code 01) ... The booklet with the machine said if there was a problem not to return the unit to the store but to contact Haier, which i did on July 20th, 2011 and have continued to do so.. It is now November and I still have not been able to use it...when you buy a new appliance and pay good money for it, it should work. For months i heard the part was on the way...The authorized repair service and Haier passed blame back and forth.. .I finally contacted the Better Business Bureau .. Hair responded to the BBB with the statement below: On September 28, 2011, the business provided the following information: Dispute will be resolved by business (list date) 10/2011 Firm's Statement of position and offer of settlement (if any): This letter is in response to the complaint filed by (me) concerning the purchase of a Haier product. This case is about the manufacturer limited warranty. The customer advised Haier America that the unit was purchased on 7/15/11. The Haier product that this customer owns was in-warranty at the time of the first call. Based on the duration of the situation and inability to provide a part, Haier America will process the exchange for the customer pending receipt of the customer's proof-of-purchase, and either and 8'' length of cord and the serial sticker from the unit (to confirm non-use), or the unit itself (to be picked up by Haier America) IF the part is still not in stock at the time of customer contact. The customer can contact Haier America's Customer Service Team at 877-461-4788 (ticket number xxx xxx) to discuss further. Please understand that Haier America tries to satisfy customer requests as much as possible, which could be beyond the manufacturer warranty coverage. Jeffrey Pinsky Customer Service Director Date: 9/28/2010 _____________________________ On October 27 i was contacted by both the repair service and Haier and both told that Haier was going to replace the machine...And yet as of today, November 10th, 2011, i still do not have a working machine. i have called numerous times: below is a list of the calls copied from my phone records.. the shorter calls are where the person said they would call me right back but they never did..the longer ones are when they had me on hold and were ‘checking with their supervisor’ and they would come back on the line and tell me they would call me back..and they never did call back..
