Global auto sports scam! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! Internet, New York |
22nd of Aug, 2011 by User703696 |
Approximately 1 month ago I posted my car for sale on a main auto sales advertising site. Shortly after I was contacted by "Glen" from Global Auto Sports. Glen along with Scott Kaplan advised me that they ran an exotic car website that specialized in selling high end cars. They told me that they would assist me with everything from selling my car to helping a buyer get financed, and even if need be shipping the vehicle after it sold. Both Glen and Scott assured me that they would help me get top dollar for my car in a timely manner and guarenteed me a sale. Several weeks went by and after paying Global auto sports $200 I never heard from them again. They posted my car on their site, however while I was getting almost daily responses from autotrader, I never once got one inquery from anyone that saw my car on Global auto sports site, even after I lowered the price far below blue book. I contacted Scott Kaplan at Global auto sports and told him of my concern. I asked Scott if he would give me a partial refund and take my car off of the site. Scott once again assured me that they would sell my car and asked me for an additional week to repost my car on some blogs. I told Scott that seemed fair enough and that I would give him another week if he would give me half of my money back after that point if the car still did not sell. I let two weeks go by with still not one response from anyone that saw my car on global auto sports site. I finally contacted Scott Kaplan again and requested a partial refund and to remove my car from the site. Scott began to give me the "run around" once again about how he would repost/blog the car and asked me for 3 additional weeks. I told him no as I no longer wanted to deal with a company that offers false promises. If advertising is your product and your "product" is not working I feel that its only fair to offer the consumer a refund if they are not happy with the results. Global auto sports is a scam site, and I would never again do business with them or recommend them to anyone. If you have taken the time to read this post I strongly advise you not to advertise your vehicle with them as it is a waste of your time and money. |

Exact same thing happened to us but our car was listed for 8 months! We had one inquiry that was not serious. They told us they could sell our car for more than what we'd been listing it for and after eight months, it's listed way below blue book and still NOTHING. They have ignored almost all of our emails and have not refunded our money. As far as we can tell, this is a scam and a total waste of money! |
