Let me start off, I WAS a faithful customer for 4 years. When I ordered something it arrived in 2-3 days. Prices were good and was in stock. This is the way IT USED TO BE...read on! I ordered 5 sets of "AA" rechargable batteries with chargers. When they came in I tested them. Was not impressed at all. The batteries didnt last 3 hours in a radio that would usually run for 3 days. I gave the batteries another chance, cycled them a few times. No luck, it's Chinese crap. I call Geeks.com. It says they have a 90 day guarantee. I talk with a rep, then the supervisor. They agree to take them back, BUT!!! *I* have to pay the freight to return this substandard crap to them and they want to issue "Store Credit", in other words NO MONEY BACK. I USED to tell friends/family/co-workers to shop there. Thats over! They are holding my money hostage until they get the box of crap back.Looks like I need to call the credit card company and file a complaint with them over this.I am sure Geeks DIDN'T know this stuff was garbage, but to jerk me around is just wrong. Were talking about $50.00 and the cost to ship this crap back, not the crime of the century. Second complaint. This company is now using "Fedex Smartpost". BEWARE!!! this is the worst shipping and they won't tell you thats what your getting. They take about 3 days to drop the shipment off at Fedex. Fedex places it on the slowest truck they can find then deliver it to a US POST OFFICE in your town! This is your "Free Shipping" and or "Economy".In my opinion... This company went from a A+ in 2008 to a D- in 2011. I will give them a chance to make good on this, and will publish the results good or bad here. Some of the people I talked with were pleasant, others were downright rude and could not care less about the customer. With a lot of "Other" vendors worldwide, "Service" is extremely important. I do hope they make good on this, if they want to keep a longtime customer. Geeks.com needs to understand for every person that takes the time to write a letter, there are many more that wont. Something tells me I am not alone with my disgust in now dealing with Geeks.com |
