Game Goody gamegoody online game trading runescape gold instant China, Internet |

Gamegoody.com is a internet based website that sells items and accounts to games. They essentially provide you with the advantage to an online or MMO game for a fee. I can't speak for their sales on other games but with RuneScape its obvious that they try to scam you once you buy their product. They place a warning in small print on the RuneScape page in hard to read colored text stating "Attention Customers: We never ask gold back in game after trade! Don't ever return your gold to anyone in game. If there are problems we will always ask you come to our live chat first." Any company that has to warn you not to give you the bought product back to them has serious trust issues. I bought a 50mil order from them Jan. 25th and after 3 months they only completed about half the order with 28m still to go. Rather then finish it they just stopped and tried to label the order as "completed". I caught on and told them of this and they tried to say they had sent me a refund but didn't and after some persuasion they agreed to give me an instant trade of 26m (so i was happy at first). Well in the "Live Chat" (that parts important) i was told to go to world 112 and trade "*****hang**" (* indicate I'm protecting their user-name identities, so lets just call it hang). When i log in a random guy with a completely different name (lets just call him "tacc") traded me the money, then told me he mean to do a less amount so i complied and returned the money cause I'm a nice guy and not greedy. When i go back over to "Live Chat" (its a IM window managed within the website for live support with the company) they act as though they have paid me, but i never was traded by Hang. So i tell them this and there reply was Tacc was there account and it's not their fault that i gave it back and I'm just scamming them for more money. Parts of their reply include... "why do you ask me to retrade gold ?"..."maybe you want to scam me another 26M" as if I'd already scammed him once and as if I'd even received 26M. But it was in their agreements on site that if something changes they absolutely WILL contact you on the "Live Chat" window and tell you. I was never informed that Tacc was the gamegoody Representative, and only ever informed that Hang was. It wasn't until i was scammed and 20 min in our conversation did he ever say that Tacc was his file. After 2 hours of argument on IM and a long phone call he admitted he didn't do things right and then got really quite and I've yet to hear from a manager. Conclusion. Any site who has to warn you not to let them scam you is a scam on its own, don't trust them. Now I'm one to admit if I'm wrong and if they prove themselves to fix this and give me back my 26M then i will gladly remove all this stuff but until I actually see them fix stuff you heard it from me, I won't buy from them again. |

Same thing happened to me today, July 8th 2011. I've purchased currency from them before and everything went smoothly. I guess they are hitting rough times, so they are forced to scam people out of the money they just gave them. I just can't believe they have been doing this for at least 3 months. I posted a dispute claim on Paypal to try and get my money back.

I do not want this to happen to anyone else.
Here's what happened to me:
The item for sale was virtual currency(gold) in the game Runescape.
I purchased 165 million gold for $120 from gamegoody.com
Please keep in mind there were 4 players involved:
1. 234fremont56
2. 234fremont58
3. Ancient2921
4. abahaska
This matter is somewhat complex.
As requested by the seller, I went to Varrock East Bank on World 25 to receive the currency. Upon arriving, I met with 234fremont56(abahaska was the alternative) and received the currency. The moment I received the currency, a player named 234fremont58(cleverly named a VERY similar name) requested that I give the funds to Ancient2921and transfer to world 10. According to him(Player #2) this "new procedure" was done as an effort to prevent a Real World Trading ban.
I complied with his directions by giving the funds to Player #3 and moved to world 10. Both of them told me to wait repeatedly for several minutes. After roughly 30 minutes of waiting, both of them logged out at the same time and have not logged in since then.
My questions are this:
1. Why were two players in the same place on the same server at the same time using the same name, but one number off? A little suspicious, don't you think?
2. How did Player #2 know that Player #1 gave me the funds whenever he did? There was no way for him to know unless contacted by Player #1.
Immediately after receiving the funds, I was instructed by a player almost the same name to give the currency to someone else. There was no way for him to know to take the same name and get on at the same time and know exactly when the trade was completed to instruct me to give the funds to another player. |
