Fortune Learning Systems Online Fraud Internet |

On 1/12/2011, I answered an ad offering information regarding auction listing specialists at a cost of $39.95. After a few hours, I got a call from a salesman who I at first thought was with this agency, but turned out to be with Fortune Learning Systems. Brooke asked me what I wanted to achieve and I said I was trying to earn as much as my wife in an online business or process. She went through the spiel about not working with everyone, what characteristics make you special, etc. etc. She scheduled another call later that night to talk with the person who decided if they were going to help us or not. Mike Roy was that person and Brooke called me as scheduled. Mike ran through some of the same things that Brooke had on the earlier call. They wanted to know if my wife was supportive of my efforts. After verifying that, They talked about guidelines and principals for starting a successful internet business, which would take less time (they kept talking about 5-10 hours per week) than the average work week. They stressed the importance of leverage capital and how they would teach me to use other people’s money with "no out of pocket expense." They asked for specific debt information. I can see now that it offered them amounts to work with in their pricing offerings later. Then they had us define our goals; 3 months, 6 months and 12 months into the future. After telling us they were going to work with us, they promised coaching, website assistance and marketing efforts for three different amounts. They also had me promise that I would not quit and that I would do all they told me. The difference between the amounts they listed, $4,000+, $7,505 and $8,000+, was simply how MUCH advertising was to be done by them on my account. I suggested the middle one to my wife and she hesitated, but agreed. We put the $7,505 amount on her Discover card on 1/12/2011. Mike told me my coach, Nick Coombs, would be calling me tomorrow to introduce himself and set up our calls. Brandon P. was to be my liaison and he would be calling me to assist with whatever “other” help I might need. I had my first coaching call on 1/13/2011. Nick and I talked about my objectives, and he gave me more motivational talk. He told me he was going to give me 11 45 minutes sessions over the next few months. He also gave me the URL to go to and that my first assignment was to start reading on the member's website. The information was another motivational talk, and when I talked to Nick the next week, we discussed it briefly before he gave me assignment 2. The information was about drop shippers and I found out subsequently that this information is out on the Internet much cheaper or free. Anyway I started on assignment 2, but due to health and PC issues, I did not complete it until 2/22/2011. I did talk to Nick twice in that period and told him of my issues and progress and he told me he understood, and for me to keep going and keep him in the loop on further issues or questions. Later that first day, Brandon P. called me to see how things went and to offer 3 other options from their offerings and who might be the person to contact me. I received those other calls all offering their product; I passed on all of them. Between 1/3/2011 and 2/24/2011, I was on vacation, was sick, and had my call changed from Monday to Thursday. In total, I talked to Nick person to person just 3 times and exchanged 4 or 5 emails. I talked to Brandon P. just 3 times and one of them was while I was on vacation. He, as he noted, does not keep up with my coaches’ schedule and had no idea I was out of town. Then the support just stopped! Nick did not call me on 2/24/2011 or 3/3/2011. I have called the company’s main number 1-866-202-1960 every day since 3/2/2011. Their phone no longer has any options (menu tree or phone tree) to call an extension number (X2009 for Nick; X1067 for Mike; X4015 for Brady), or simply leave a general message. Their message did say … “we value you as a customer” “will assist you at our earliest convenience” and “we look forward to assisting you shortly…". I was directed to send any requests to the email “[email protected]”. I have sent a request to the email every day since 3/3/2011 but have yet to receive a response. The email for nick [email protected] is returned to me as an invalid address. I have also cc’d Mike Roy’s assistant, Nadia Z, to every email but have not heard back from her either. Their learning website, flslearn.com, has not been available since I tried to access it on Monday 2/28/2011. I have tried to access it at least twice a day since, to no avail. I tried both the fortunelearninsystems.com and theauctionemploymenttraininginstitute.com websites as well, again to no avail. So, they have been incommunicado since at least since 3/3, and Nick since at least 2/24/2011. I have no faith that they will ever call me back except to contradict what I am saying. They have taken our $7,505 and all we’ve gotten for it are 2 working sessions with Nick Coombs. In addition to this, they also charged us $39.95 on 2/12/2011 for a website I was never given. This is a recurring amount each month for website hosting services. The company also sent me a Warranty of Service which was here when we returned from vacation. In it, it says ”Phase One will be the pro-active phase where you will participate informal session with a specific and personal mentor. During this phase, you must agree to keep the appointments with your mentor and to complete all the assignments given to you by your mentor.” I did complete all the assignments given, and although I missed one appointment on 2/1/2011, I was very sick and unable to get out of bed. Nick was told about it, subsequently, and he said it was no problem. In fact, it was the company who has left me high and dry, incommunicado for the last two weeks and now, removing all online support for me this week. In the end, they have NOT provided a scant of what they promised and don’t appear to be going to. So, we’d like to have a complete refund of $7544.95 from the two transactions shown below. And we’d like to have the recurring charge cancelled. |
