EVGA Rebate scam Brea, California |
14th of Jul, 2011 by User696952 |
Beware of the EVGA Rebate, Sent in all paperwork. Could have sworn I signed the form, as this will not be a mistake I would make. However, soon after receiving the rebate form from me, they declined it for lack of signature. Made no effort to contact me, even though they have my full contact information: address, number and email. I waited like a fool for the rebate, as I was told processing takes 6-8 weeks to receive funds. Today I called, as when I found my receipt, dated in April, I decided to give the rebate center a call. I also logged online. I saved the rebate tracking number by doing a PDF print of the screen. Going online I saw my declination, and the copies of the documents showed no signature from me. I asked the lady over the phone, (after making 5 attempts to call, as I was hanged up by their unfriendly machine), that it is now null and void, as 30 days have passed. She also stated that the terms and conditions I agreed to, (which is of course usually in the USA, a 2000 page legal document that nobody reads, and nobody fully understands, which it is designed to do), states that the processing information is available after 3 weeks. Now do the maths: that means that you have barely a 1 week window to see if your application was declined, and to get a new application mailed in time. Bottom line: Rebate designed full of technicalities, flaws, and very tight timeframes, designed that you do not get anything! Thus, do not bank or trust EVGA rebates, and use this as a reason to purchase the product. I had no problems with another Rebate for another brand. Stay Clear! |

I am very sorry to hear that you had a problem processing your rebate as the directions are as clear as possible including check boxes with items that need to be included and that the form needs to be signed.
If you should have a problem with your submission a email is sent immediately after being reviewed and you have 30 days to respond to our rebate company to correct the forms.
I can recommend emailing [email protected] if you should have any problems with the rebate company and EVGA will respond to you directly to try and assist. |
