Odenza Marketing / Monarch Resorts Odenza Marketing is a HUGE waste of time and money! Don't do it! San Diego, California |

I sat through a Monarch Grand Vacations high-pressure sales time-share presentation for the chance of having a choice of "free" vacations - either a cruise, Southwest Airline tickets, or a three-night Sun-Tues check-in stay at the Marriott. I thought this was too good to be true, and as it turns out, it was. (I should have known when I e-mailed the Marriott about if Odenza was legit or not and they wouldn't confirm or deny it). So far I have sent Odenza a total of $100 in money orders to reserve my three-night stay at a Marriott and three months later still have no reservations. Odenza makes it very difficult to actually reserve the room and book the dates in the specific city in which you wish to stay. Odenza requested that I mail them a list of three different destinations and five different travel weeks of when and where I wanted to travel. This sounds like fun, but in reality this makes planning very difficult, if not impossible. I complied and mailed in my options, only to receive a voicemail a few weeks later from their Canada location stating that they could not process my request because all five of my dates had to be at least 30 days apart. Annoyed, I immediately called back only to receive a message that said "Our call volume is high, please leave a message." So then I called their San Diego location and received the SAME message. The phone didn't even ring! It just went straight to the message. I'm guessing they don't ever actually answer the phone. I think they just hope that people give up and they just scammed them out of their money. I'm so irritated that (similar to what another aggravated scamee did) I requested a full refund of my $100 or I would file a complaint with the BBB. |
