Everclean practices in slave labor Tampa, Florida

For a short period of time (thankfully) I was "employed" with Everclean in Tampa. What I experienced was close to slave labor, and not only unfortunate as an employee but also to the consumers that purchased Everclean's AC cleaning services. As far as the service, the lure to bring in business is to place a coupon ad in a local paper advertising a special such as $69 for A/C duct cleaning. However when the technician comes in their real job is to upsell needless products at an outrageous rate, for example, filters, mold cleaning, and chemicals. As far as being an employee, the "training" is just watching another tech upsell. They will hire anyone regardless of experience or certification. They don't want to waste money performing background checks or drug tests. The people coming into your homes could have serious felonies and they don't bother to check. The first week of employment was basically out of my own pocket. They do not reimburse for their training because you're not selling anything. They have you drive everywhere in the state of Florida, using your own vehicle, and reimburse nothing for gas. You don't get paid by the job, you get paid by how much you SELL during the week. Even selling $1500 worth of needless products that have basically no benefit at all to the consumer, that would only earn 10% pay which is $150 for the WEEK. Not only that -- they charge you for what you sell these customers out of your own paycheck. If you sell someone a filter for $200, they will deduct $25 out of your paycheck. And after driving all over the state of FL alone that would put a net loss of -$200 income. Not to mention a 60 hour work week away from family. The only way to earn a decent living at this place is to sell thousands of dollars worth of nothing to these unfortunate people every week. The way this place operates is sickening inside and out. Don't ever respond to an Everclean/ priority one air solutions ad because you will guaranteed just have someone come over to take hundreds and hopefully over $1000 away from you!
