ETunes LLC Ripped off my Amex Card for $20.80... van nuys, California

My American Express card showed a charge for $20.80 in March which I did not make. I checked my statement and learned the biller was ETunes LLC of Van Nuys, CA. I reported the false charge to Amex, who said they would take care of it. But that it would take maybe six weeks. I suspect, since I have seen two more such frauds reported on the internet in March, that ETunes LLC focuses on Amex, knowing they have a six week window to rake in all these charges, then skedaddle to a new company name and address and start again. The question is, where are they getting the Amex credit card listings? All three of us reporting this one report that it was an Amex charge: not Visa, not M/C I am unhappy with Amex, for two reasons: 1. they take too long to fix this, and 2. my online statement still shows the same total, when they said they'd take it off my statement. I doesn't look like they did.

Yes, we also have a charge on our AMEX card. We're going the route of asking AMEX for a new account number. But, like another "victim" I wonder how ETunes got the number to begin with (and the name).

I did too. But AMEX credited my account immediately.

I had the same charge ($20.43) on April 25, 2011. I called AMEX and they immediately credited my account

Had a charge of $24 dated April 10 from ETunes. Never heard of them and rarely use card. Amex credited the amount back to my account and put a block on any new charges from so-called "company"

I was also scammed. Amex said they will refund the amount. When I later called to question whether the card should be cancelled and reissued, the rep thought not. She said they "monitor" our account. By why are they not actively contacting all their customers who may NOT have noticed this charge???? When this happened with Capital One they promptly cancelled my card before I realized the number was stolen and the amount was for only $0.03. This is a big negative strike against Amex!
