| This whole thing is a SCAM..I was walking through the Legran mal in Fort Worth in January 2009 and was given a flyer to come audition for modeling. I informed the guy that I don't model so he asked me if I could sing or knew anyone that could sing or would be interested in modeling or who had any kind of talent because there was going to be a contest and you could win $1000 in each category. So I informed him my daughter loves to sing and has a good voice. I was then informed to have her come in for audition and she passed and we went to meet Elroy and he and the other guy who held the audition kept telling me how pretty I was and I needed to enter the modeling contest. So I let them talk me into it and I was then told I had to pay $100 a peice for me and my daughter so I paid half and the other half I was called everyday until I finally just brung it in. Then the Talent show came and I won my modeling contest and my daughter didn't win hers I was expecting to get the $1000 prize so I would feel like I lost any money I was then told that I needed to compete in several more competitions before I could win $1000. But of course in the mean time I could sign a contract and I could get started modeling for some of the stores in the mall that he had contracts with but before I could do that I needed to sign a contract and it was for $450 for one sided flyers and $500 for doublesided flyers so of course I went for one sided flyers. I was bugged and called like crazy to come up with the money so I finally said I had half of the money and I would bring it in as soon as I had a chance... I was called over and over again and then was asked could Elroy come pick the money up. I should have known it was something up withthat then when Elroy showed up at my house with a loud outdated mercedes and a receipt written out already. He then asked when will I have the rest? I really started feeling iffy because he started reminding me of one of my crackhead family members. But I was nieve and went ahead and informed him to give me a week and I belive it was about 3 days and I started getting calls in again telling me I need to hurry up and pay the rest of the money or work it off, because his photogragher was coming and he pays him to come out and by the hour and he had some modeling gigs line up for me that he thought I would be good for and he couldn't hold them too much longer...So I came up with the money and when I came in he took me to the photo place inside the mall that everyone goes too and informed me that was his photographer and he stated that he had to leave but put the pictures under his office door. When he left I knew I had been bamboozled for I had already given him my money. This happend in March well needless to say I didn't get any more calls like I was getting before I was no longer important and when I called Elroy was always out of the office or busy and I was told that they were just waiting for my flyers to come back. So August came and after not getting anywhere over the phone I went up there with a couple of family members and Elroy was not so very nice when I asked for my money back he stated he doesn't give money back but he could get me my flyers when the shipment comes in. He stated that the company that processes the flyers have been delayed then the lady at the front desk stated that the lady that they have do the flyers was sick. So at this point my family goes off because they see where these people just keep lying. Elroy leaves the office for about 45 minutes and comes back with my flyers hot off the copy machine and still warm I then again informed him its too late for flyers now I want my money back....Elroy of course informed me that I would not get any money back and asked me to leave his office and before I left I let evryone there know that he was a SCAM Artist and to not give him any money...He really hated that and said that he was going to call the police on me.....I actually wanted them to come......I since have done a little research and he has been in Arlington inside a mall and ran the same scam, then Legran Mall in Arlington and now a church.. I thought he was a true man of god but he will definitely fool you even with all the TD Jakes cassettes and everthing inside his office...What a Joke I should have know any real talent agency doesn't come to your house at night and pick up money........... |
