This so called Dr. stalks the rating sites and methodically has all her bad reviews removed, if possible. She has the audacity to pose as (fake) patients and writes the reviews herself-this can be documents from her computer address. She is a pathological liar. How can IT ALWAYS BE THE PATIENTS FAULT!?! It's in the public's safety and best interest to know she does this and that is why Dr. Ma posts so many glowing reviews. Here's a big hint for anyone consider her as an option: Ask her for 3 phone #s of satisfied patients whom are willing to speak as a testimony to the service and procedures she provided that are similar or exact as to what you are seeking. The more you have been harmed - the more you have to gain with assisting in getting Dr. Ma investigated and proper actions to be taken. IT'S one thing to have an attorney (and she'll settle out of court and there isn't a paper trail-for all those who come after you to be made aware of) and it's an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MATTER TO FILE WITH THE BOARD AS THEY HOLD HER LICENSE AND SHE HAS A FEW INVESTIGATIONS HAPPENING AT THE TIME OF THIS POSTING. Although my initial surgery turned out well, I had another medical problem that came up during the course of my surgical treatment. Although I was able to find a physician who readily completed my breast reconstruction surgery, she refused to complete it, telling me that I was "too much trouble." During the time I saw her, she violated HIPAA privacy rules, gave me surgical options that are not FDA-approved; and was disrespectful to me at almost every contact I had with her. Be very wary. . . 12/29/102211 I rated this doctor poorly because she did not recognize that my breast reconstruction surgery was failing due to tissue necrosis. When I saw her during my first post op visit, I asked her why my skin flaps were sloughing and she said that was normal after breast surgery. A week later, I developed full blown tissue necrosis, she then had to excise the lower poles of both breast skin flaps and I am now left with extensive scarring. My new PS is not sure how we will finish the reconstruction if the scar tissue does not expand after he attempts to lower my tissue expanders. If this approach fails too, he is suggesting tissue transfers using my latissimus dorsis as the donor site. I face a very long and difficult breast reconstruction now and if Dr Ma had been able to recognize that the tissue sloughing was a sign that the circulation to the area was impaired, she could have relieved some of the tension on the site by removing some of the fluid from the tissue expanders.

She convinced me to let her inject a long-term product, Sculptra, under my eyes/nasal fold/mouth areas. Within 4-6 weeks I had nodules, larger than pea-size, in all the areas she injected it. I saw her 2 weeks following injection and she injected saline to try and break up the larger lumps (no luck), then again at 4 weeks. At 3 months I saw her for the last time, when she said there was nothing she could do for me and "don't come back." I've conferred with two surgeons about having the lumps under my eyes surgically removed (will cost me $10,000). Both encouraged me to go back to Debra Ma again as they feel it's her responsibility to correct this horrible situation (the lumps under my eyes are really bad). I tried to make an appt last week and both her receptionist and nurse told me "Dr. Ma will not see you." It has been 30 months of hell for me and she has done nothing to make it right, and clearly won't. Don't see Debra Ma!! Logged-in users can respond to this rating

Feb 9, 2011 Dr Ma failed to recognize and treat the early signs of tissue necrosis after my breast reconstruction and I am now left with permanent, disfiguring scars on my breasts. I felt humiliated and bullied by her just because I dared to ask her any questions about my care. She does not treat her staff or patients with respect. Debora Ma, you systematically have created this all for yourself, by yourself by NOT doing the "right" thing for unsuspecting people who actually trusted you for their care! DO thing right thing!
