I am disabled and live in an RV on property I rent from a friend in Menifee Ca. 3 weeks ago I bought a new (to me) RV as I will be moving to another city in a few weeks. I have not had TV for these 3 weeks, with the help of a neighbor I placed a pole in the ground and moved the dish to it I was having trouble getting the aim correct so I called customer service tech. support. First of all it took 15 min. to get from a computer voice to a human, then when I got a real person I could not understand them turns out they were in India. I asked to speak to someone in the USA, I was placed on hold for 32 min, when someone finally answered they were in Mexico. I again asked to speak to a rep. in the USA and was again put on hold for this time it was 28 min. When the line was answered I was again Talking to India. So I tried to commuincate my problem to the rep in India. I was told that I would need a service call to point the dish to the proper azmuth and that it would cost me $95.00, or if I add a service aggrement to my contract it would only cost me $15.00 (the added cost was $15.00) so in essence I was to pay $30.00 instead of $95.00. By this time I had been on the phone for just over 3 hrs. I decided to try their online tech chat line, and once again I was in India and after another 45 min. I finally got the elevation skew and azmuth to point the dish not having a GPS unit I could not get the proper setting so here I am Disabled no tv no $95.00 to pay a service call and watching Dish TV service trucks drive by 2 or three times a week. To set this they place a programer in front of the satallite and point it in the proper direction it takes 10 min. when I switched over to Dish from Direct it was because of customer service Dish shows ads on TV showing a customer service center in the USA and talks about how great they are. Well They are not. I want out of my 2 year aggrement so I can return to Direct TV. can anyone help me with this? I have not had TV service for 4 weeks now but I am still paying for it and having to talk to a different country for service It's UNAMERICAN. And as far as the $95.00 service charge I want to bill them for my time 4 1/2 hrs. spent talking to someone in another country @ $28.00 per hr.(the amount I was making before becoming DISABLED = $126.00 dish owes me for wasting my time teaching some towelhead english. |
