24th of Apr, 2011 by User514359 |
They are very sneaky when they give you the amount of your trade-in...they show you a paper with 2 or 3 different numbers and with a total. If you ask question on each numbers they will tell you to focus on the total...this is the important number! What they do not tell you is that the total includes the taxes!!!! and they know very well that this is not what you expect. They are sneaky...be very careful! |

Hi, my name is Jon and just like any american I want above and beyond great when looking for a car dealership! Desert Toyota Las Vegas is far below average, my wife has a 2009 toyota corolla s that she just recently decided she wanted to do lease to own. She goes in Friday(June 24, 2011) to sign some paperwork and have the car inspected. Dealership says battery terminal heads had to be replaced, so she listened, took care of that and was told the car was in excellent condition that it passed ALL inspections with flying colors. Car was drivin home from dealership and sat for a few days as we were out of town. On Monday my wife calls on her way to work and lets me know the battery light had just came on and how could that be with it just leaving the dealership and all. I insured her not to worry we would take it to toyota everything would be fine and about that time she screams due to the car randomly breaking, no power steering, abs light and brake lights on, a complete malfunction with the car on the freeway! Had the car towed into Desert Toyota Las Vegas Tuesday(June 28, 2011) thinking that since they had worked on it last they would take care of it even though the car is 4000 miles over warranty. They figured out it needed a new alternator, told me it was $580 dollars plus $44 dollars for the dead battery. They worked on the battery last which is a direct connect to the alternator and can be shorted out if proper work is not done so why should I have to come out of pocket $625??? Would not think I would have to but KURT and STEVE in the service department were very persistant at it being my wifes fault or just the wear of the 24 miles she had put since she last left shop! They referred to the car as a blender saying at any random time the electronics can just die. This is absolute BULLSHIT I know there would be pre-warnings, such as a little clue when they inspected the car if the alternator was going out! Do they believe there mechanics don't mess up and wont fix their mistakes when they do. I was beyond frustrated after hearing lie after lie, just so happened all managers were not around that day. I refuse to pay the dealership so I took it half a block away where they said no way 2009 alternator should go out. So at this point the work is being done somewhere else but I am very confident my message will be heard and just maybe Desert Toyota Las Vegas will acknowledge that their customer service is not where it needs to be actions will be taken higher in management to get rid of liars, nobody likes LIARS! |
