I placed an order online from Sydney Australia with aka Custom Wheel Distributing Inc in November 2010. I got a return email from the owner of the business, Tom DesMarais, with the estimated amount I would be looking at for that order and his Paypal details. Being Paypal, thought I would be insured against anything bad happening, soI tranferred $4756 USD across. Tom DesMarais from Custom Wheel Distributing then confirmed that he had received the funds and he would get the order under way, should take 6-8 weeks. At around the 7 week mark, I tried to get in-touch with Custom Wheel Distributing to get an ETA on when my wheels were going to arrive via email and by phone but without any response, I tried again a few days later but still no response. I decided to check the website once again ( ) to see if they had any other way of getting in contact with these people. That's when I noticed they had a Facebook page ( ). Upon opening the fan page I suddenly realised I had been RIPPED OFF. There were at least 15-20 people on there that were in the same position as me. Paid money to Tom DesMarais at Custom Wheel Distributing Inc had now they couldn't get intouch with him. One such victim, Amy Sinclair Hunkapillar (Facebook Profile) informed me that she had had the police go around there and the building was closed up. Also she had been in-touch with Tom DesMarais' brother who was listed as the manager of the business and he told her that he was no longer on speaking terms with Tom DesMarais and he owes all of his venders and employee's money aswell. His website is still up and running and they also have another online shop called same ordering and contact details. Can't somebody stop this thief before he rips off more inocent online shoppers. Due to the amount of negative online comments his Facebook page was receiving, they have now deleted it.
