Custom Bult Personal Training Custom Built is heartless AND have shoddy trainers Brentwood, California

I joined Custom Built in Brentwood, CA in February of 2010. The first trainer assigned never returned my calls to set-up a first appointment. The second one assigned to me was cool, but he was only in it for the his 40% training fee. He didn't follow the program: What did you eat? Let's weigh you...etc. That was fine. It was nice to have someone encourage me and workout with me. The guy was actually fun - but as I stated, didn't follow what he was "supposed" to do and I was 'ok' with that. Then, I was laid-off. I was spending $90 for three sessions. When you have limited income, luxuries are the first to go. I kept my Custom Built membership for another 3 mos but could no longer afford to do the training. I could use that $90 for food - plus I never thought I would be unemployed longer than two months. I called Custom Built's Corporate Office and explained my unemployment. Ms Short" in "customer service" told me that unemployment was not a reason to get out of the contract. WTF? "Ms. Short" began harassing me, emailing me daily, calling me and would not let up. I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in having a business relationship with a heartless, cut-throat company. Custom Built then sent me to several professional debt collectors who continued Ms. Short's harassment and daily calls and threats. I was promised that if I finished out the contract, I'd would get my full training sessions in return. I'm not interested in doing business with a company who is so heartless. I would NEVER, EVER hand-over money to a company which treats people the way Custom Built does. I look forward to the day the Ms. Short loses her job and Custom Built goes under. They are a heartless, money grubbing company. It's ironic that they have spent well over $600 - which is what I owe - trying to get me to come back to Custom Built and continue my training. Some idiot collector from SoCal tried called and left a message that I better call him back by the end of the day or else he'll file a court affidavit and sue me in court. NOTHING ever happened. I don't think any judge is going to award Custom Built a judgment when there is a financial hardship. Plus, it's not like I received services from Custom Built and never paid them. They won't even let you start a training session unless you're currently paid-up. I'm NOT giving money to a greedy, heartless, company. I'm done with Custom Built. The gym I go to, In-Shape is how I connected with Custom Built. I complained to In-Shape regarding Custom Built's tactics and In-Shape could care less. Stay away from Custom Built or you'll be sorry. You might re-consider you business relationship with In-Shape as well given the lackadaisical attitude to business partners who treat people like ATMs.
