Unfortunately I do not have any good news for you. I hired Crossland movers to pickup my belongings on July 9th 2011, today is September 22, 2011 and I never received my belongings. I had to send a family member out to find it! I paid them a portion of the money and never saw my stuff. I have been unable to reach anyone at the company and when I contacted the salesman, Danny, and he told me that he no longer works for the company. I have contacted and filed complaints with the D.O.T, the BBB, the New York Attorney General and the Arizona Attorney general. I have also contacted the Connecticut Department of Consumer protection because they picked up my belongings in CT. I contacted Connecticut State Police and they told me to first contact Brooklyn Police because Crossland is based out of Brooklyn . Once I spoke with the Brooklyn police I became extremely worried because when they checked the address they discovered there was not a business located at 711 Ave U. I also spoke with a lawyer that does believe this is a scam and has advised me to seek Crossland's insurance company. I did so yesterday and amazingly they are still insured so I made a claim with their insurance company. I also spoke with my homeowners insurance and discovered that if the police do consider my stuff to be stolen they will cover it. I also cancelled my credit card that the company had on record and got a copy of the check they cashed to give to police. I am very concerned I will never see my stuff again and now I am just hoping the police discover something. The only contact I have ever had from Crossland was when I called and called. They told me once they were in Missouri , once they were in Colorado and then an hour later when my mother called they were miraculously in Texas . They are consistently lying about everything and I do not trust them. Once I called on Tuesday and discovered their number was not a working number I panicked. Through a long and tedious process I was able to locate my belongings in a storage facility in Brooklyn, New York. |
