Creative Computers DATA ENTRY JOB OFFER, CONGRATS YOU ARE |
16th of Nov, 2010 by User864676 |
I was almost scammed!!! It was a too good to be true job offer. Soon to figure out that there was no contact information except for a website from across the world. No telephone communication allowed. There were misspellings from "CEO", there was an online interview only, the offered paid online training, the interview questions were way too easy. The interview was conducted with a personal email address, on a free site at that! You would think that a company expanding globally would have an email address that is more secure and paid for. They responded to my questions with very cut and dry answers and got defensive as if I was a bother. They made me feel like I was bothering them while they are actually trying to work!! Yeah Right! I knew it because it didn't make sense to trust just anyone with important and confidential financial information. They also promised to supply a laptop computer "asap." I just don't see a CEO presenting a job contract in this fashion. Also watch out as they did not ask for my personal info such as my ss# and driver license or even birthdate but I'm sure once they would have had me lured in they would have made me feel comfortable enough to give it to them. Beware!! I found this job and applied at americasjobexchange.com as a
Data Entry Clerk and then got another higher position when the
employment agreement was presented. I checked americasjobexchange and
just take a guess, yup you guessed it! Their posting was no longer there and they have no account anymore. I am posting this so that others do
not get tied up in this. I started to do my research and found out that they are currently in New Hampshire's Red Flag list. They also did this in Maine and Virginia. My advice is that when you are checking on a company don't think to only check in your state. There is no National database so they can jump around and do it in other states but who would think to check every other state?? Also, I checked the Department of State of NY, Division of Corporations website and they are not registered to conduct business in NY. If you have to check all of these things then its just not worth it. Intuition is a powerful feeling, follow it! |
