oDesk.com Discovering FRAUD and suspending the guilty doesn't stop oDesk from trying to collect San Mateo, California |

I filed a report on this previously which you can find on scam Report here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/employment-services/odesk-vab-technologi/odesk-vab-technologies-delhi-99b3f.htm As stated in my original report, oDesk investigated my allegations of fraud and ruled in my favor suspending the "profiles" that had engaged in the fraud which, as I stated in my original report, meant nothing because these same individuals from VAB Technologies, New Delhi, India simply created new profiles also operating under VAB on oDesk and continued doing business as usual. I had let this go as I *FINALLY* found a contractor on Elance to do what I paid VAB to do last year.... ... then today I get an email from oDesk trying to collect money from me, money oDesk thinks it is owed and apparently has forgotten about the fraud. Here's the email: Your account and all your active contracts have been suspended due to a past due balance of $57.72. We have attempted to charge your Visa ending in **** for the past 321 days and it has been declined each time. Until your balance is paid, contractors cannot work on your contracts, and you are not be able to start new contracts. Update your card or add a new card now to pay your balance and reinstate your account. If you need assistance, please contact Customer Support. Regards, oDesk - Changing How the World Works As stated in my original filing, I superseded oDesk's policy and filed a fraud affidavit with my bank because I had read enough about oDesk and their disdain of their customers to realize up front that they are NOT on my side and NOT EVEN being found to be a victim of fraud facilitated over state lines and processed by oDesk would stop them from trying to collect. NOT EVEN FRAUD... forget the money I lost before I wised-up to the scam, forget the lost revenues, forget the lost time and forget the emotional anguish... oDesk's only interest is processing credit cards and taking their cut even when fraud allegations are found to be substantiated and acted upon as was in my case, oDesk is trying to collect. I emailed them some words I will not repeat and promised to file a lawsuit should I get another email from them with anything other than an apology. $57 won't cover the cost to file with the Clerk much less the airfare to get there but I'm still mad enough to dish out some pain if they really want to play games. I post this only to illustrate the utter contempt oDesk has for its customers where they want their 10% even if every bit of it originated as fraud and oDesk ITSELF found it to be fraud. I post this to substantiate my original statements about oDesk and their view of their customers and this email today confirms it, incontrovertibly. |
