BC urgently needs new laws to protect dogs from over breeding. Dog breeding regulations should be enforced. Thousands of dogs are killed each year from over breeding.

Should By-Laws be required and permits for each litter produced?
How many dogs can one kennel own? How many litters does one person need? At what point is breeding dogs considered abuse or mistreating? Do breeding dogs suffer mentally and internally? Are breeding dogs considered livestock?

Labradoodles are a fad dog and are showing up in shelters all across North America. People are realizing their labradoodles are not what the breeders claimed. Labradoodles are not an allergy friendly non shedding breed but rather just a mix of many breeds. These poodle crosses are known for anxiety, barking, shedding, biting, behavioral problems, and even health problems. Doodles are a high maintenance dog that need a lot of exercise and human contact or become very destructive. They are known for chronic digestive, eye and skin problems. Dont be fooled by they are a healthier dog, the hybrid vigor. OFA ratings show proof that doodles are ranking higher than the purebreds for health testing failures.
