Clearwire Internet If you stream movies like from Netflix, Clearwire lowers your speed so you can’t, but keep charging full price! Kirkland, Washin
2nd of Oct, 2011 by User873791
Clearwire practices abusive Network Management that prevents you from normal internet connections & activity like watching a streamed video from services like Netflix. When you stream videos, Clearwire labels you a “heavy user reduces your download speed to less than 1 Mbps making streaming videos impossible. I’ve found my speed as low as .2 Mbps. I’m paying for between 3 to 6 Mbps! Yet Clearwire keeps charging me full. They have a clause in their Terms of Service about “Network Management,” which says they have the right to lower your speed to keep their network moving, but .2 Mbps is next to. This is clearly abusive on their part & akin to stealing my money. I’m at work all day & only watch/stream videos at night so I am not abusing their network. I’m not online all day & night uploading & downloading files for example.
