In short. Financed a home through Clayton Homes (doublewide). Nothing went right. Never came up with what my payments would be even when I asked for specifics. At the 4th closing scheduled found out payments would be $100 more than quoted.


They forgot to hook up a water line correctly which caused flooding under the house, forgot a row of kitchen cabinets, forgot utility room cabinets, forgot bathroom cabinets, put in different ceilings than what I ordered, wrong color appliances, bad bumps in floor, many walls not straight I was told that they were...NOT! Only if I was drunk!), forgot a ceiling fan, never cleaned after installation, fireplace trim bonkers, forgot water faucet on outside, wrong blinds and the wrong style back door (who puts in a solid glass door for a backdoor?). Four different doors and it's still not what I originally ordered. All they had to say is that theycould not put ina door like I wanted.


When workers were sent out to install trim, they were sloppy andunprofessional. When they attempted to fix the floor they left rooms undone partly because of my request because of the sloppy job I already saw them do and them implying they did not want to move anymore furniture.New and correct blinds were brought out and not hung straight or anchored properly.


To try to rectify the situationI was able to order the cabinets, which they acted like it was a gift when it was what I originally ordered and assuming paid for. The kitchen sink leaked, I did get a knew one (they paid for) I had to go get it myself and installed it myself. The landscaping was the tackiest job I had ever seen. I told them I did not want it done and would do it myself, they did it anyway. I took everything out and they arranged for me to purchase whatI wanted at Lowe's (and put it in myself). That was the original plan. The yard was constantly flooding, I had to tell them I needed more dirt. They paid for 2 truck loads of dirt but I had to spread it. They also put the driveway in a place that made absolutely no sense at all. I had to have them move the gravel which tore the yard up even more.


I could go on with numerous other incidents.My point is every time I would request someone to come out to fix something, it got worse, sloppy work, walking in with muddy shoesand nothing, absolutely nothing was done with pride. It's almost as if because it's a "trailer" I am not supposed to care.


I asked for a list on 7 different occasions (writing and by phone) for what I actually paid for. Meaning the order that was originally made for the house and to the mortgage company (the mortgage company Vanderbilt is awhole other conglomerate of mistakes) so I would know for the record. I finally was e-mailed a scan of a handwritten note of "extras" I received. The only item I got that I did not originally order was 2 cabinets for the living room. That's it!


I'm tiredof talking to the idiots and felt like this whole purchase was a complete scam. I went through so much stress and agonydealing with them and trying to get things right and corrected. I've given up! I'm tired of havingto call them! The houseis still not what I originally ordered and my thought is not what I paid for! I STILL do not know what I actually paid for! Argh!!
