| true story I spoke with a leasing agent at camden palisades one issue was the amount of the rent but the most imporatant issue was the neighbors to the left of me who kept a constant stream of people entering smoking marijuana on the outside where anyone passing or walking out their door has to smell it when asked had she noticed this behavior she said yes, but she was too afraid to report the drug use to the authorities. I watched her ask another manager would she report the issue she too refused..when they suggested I make the report. I felt that I was being forced to move obviously the neighbors rights are more important than the tenant who doesnt do drugs or keep company with the type of people who do.....maybe they think the smoke will kill the roaches but that doesnt work. I give up Im out of here. If you want a safe homelife free of drug users and roaches avoid this place |

Camden Palisades has been Monopolizing cable TV at the mandatory rate of $45.00 per month extra for several years, as part of the rental contract. Therefore; Unlawfully, Restraining the renters' Right to choose and take advantage of the competitive rates offered by cable TV - Century Link and Satellite providers; DIRECTV and Dish at the rate of $19.99 per month including 145 channels. The new Monopoly scheme is the Internet access WiFi for additional $47.00 per month, Century Link offers the same access for $19.95 and Dish at $14.95 for high speed internet, even Camden's collaborator COX offers high speed internet 50mbps with WiFi for multiple devices access directly to consumers for $19.99 per month with free equipment and installation and extras.
The so called “Technology Package” is a SCAM to extort more money from the renters and Suppress Competition, that is a violation of the ANTITRUST Laws. The Scam also puts the tenants at the Risk of Eviction for not paying the fees as part of the rent, not simply discontinue the service if it is directly through a provider.
At the renewal of the Lease, the residents will be subject to Unreasonable Rent Increase, in addition to the monthly charges for: (Water, Sewer, Trash and Management Fee! $34.00 - $70.00) and (Technology Package Fee $92.00) and Renters' Liability Coverage. Even though; comparable apartments within the community are offered at a much lower rate to lure innocent newcomers into the TRAP.
Taking advantage of the residents' reluctance to move again and pay a new deposit which Camden defines as “Decoration” or “Administration” $500.00 NON-Refundable Deposit, in addition to charging a cleaning fee $85.00 plus other invented fees upon moving out, yet another SCAM.
(In all other apartment complexes it is a Refundable cleaning / security Deposit)
