Budget HVAC Budget Heating & AC, Suwanee HVAC, Air South of Suwanee Scam! Multiple listings so they can avoid detection of their scams! Suwanee, Georg |

Budget HVAC is a "company" out of Suwanee, Ga. The owner Doug has several registered names in order to avoid detection of his fraudulent business. My experience like many other I read started with a repair. He recommended replacement of my unit. When I told him I couldn't afford $2200 as I was trying to sell my house he pitched an "out of warranty unit". I asked him about the reliability and he said he would pull a newer unit for me. He said he had a 2002 unit that was perfect and was over to install it a few days later. Because my house is empty I found out the unit seized 3 weeks later. It might have happened the day after install, but I'm going to stick to the facts. Upon notice from my real estate agent I called Doug (the owner, who often rates himself as 5 stars on search engine reviews). He immediately tried to sell me a new unit. I asked him to please check the unit he has just installed and charged me $700 for first. That took a month. Immediately after that he started trying to pitch the new unit again. I asked Doug to work with me as I didn't have the money. This lead to various guises of him attempting other installs, repairs etc which always came back to me buying a new unit. That lead me here, where I've found that Doug's company routinely changes names and has several complaints. Please learn from my experience and stay away. I'll be taking Doug to small claims. |

Unfortunately this is the perfect example of why it is not a good idea for an Air Conditioning Company to sell used equipment to anyone for any reason. This person was told up front that a used unit carries NO WARRANTY and it could last a day or a year. Still this person insisted that he did not care about a warranty that he had a buyer for his house and he needed a working ac unit for the sale of the house.
Hesitantly our firm installed a used unit (the 2002 unit we had was listed at $2200) the unit purchased by this person was $500 and claimed they paid $700 but failed to point out $65 for diagnostics were charged for the initial visit and then on a return visit to cover labor and fuel.
Unfortunately in 30 days it was not working. Of course this unit failed in the middle of Summer where the typical backlog of service calls runs several weeks. We told this person the next "working" used unit the becomes available we would gladly replace it (no charge for unit) if they cover the labor and they agreed!
Up through the day of this post we have not had a working used unit come through our office and this person decided to attack our company using the internet as there platform to vent their frustrations with unfounded cause. We will be seeking legal damages for the libelous actions this person has taken against our firm as a result! |
