Fellow promotional ambassadors~ I would NEVER WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AGAIN. IT TAKES THEM A MINIMUM OF 2 MONTHS TO PAY YOU. OVER[/b] 2 MONTHS FOR A MEASLY 75 DOLLARS. THERE IS NO DIRECT LINE TO TALK TO ACCOUNTS PAYABLE.. SO YOU DEAL WITH AN EMAIL MESSAGE BACK AND FORTH. THEY LIE REPEATEDLY TO GET YOU OFF THEIR BACKS, SAYING THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL. . D. THEN AFTER ALL OF THAT THEY DON'T PAY YOU IN THE CONTRACT TIME.. WHICH SAYS ONE MONTH. IF THEY POST A RETORT,.. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. I HAVE FOUR MONTHS OF LETTERS BACK AND FORTH REQUESTING MY PAY CHECK OVER AND OVER... WITH A LOT OF RESPONSES ABOUT IT BEING IN THE MAIL... BEING PROCESSED... ON ITS WAY... OR THEY HAVEN'T GOTTEN PAID, SO THEY CAN'T PAY US. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE OF DEMANDING MY PAYCHECK HAS BEEN REASONABLY HUMILIATING. THIS ECONOMY IS BAD ENOUGH, BUT TO BE DUPED BY SHYSTY EMPLOYERS IS BEYOND AWFUL. GIVE IT A SHOT.. TRY CALLING THEM AND SEE IF SOMEONE PICKS UP. IT'S AN ANSWERING MACHINE, OR A PERSON DROPPING THE CALL. ##### ##### BPI Brand Marketing Solutions, Inc. 732 775 6075 (Direct) I SUGGEST FINDING AN ALTERNATIVE COMPANY... IT'S NOT WORTH THE STRESS FOR THE EVENTUAL PAYCHECK, THAT MAY OR MAY NOT COME. I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN PAID... AND I WORKED FOR THEM FOR A WEEK IN THE END OF FEBRUARY. NEVER NEVER AGAIN |

DON'T EVER, EVER, EVER WORK FOR THIS BULL SHIT COMPANY.
I worked an event back in February 2011 and was told that I would receive payment within 2-4 weeks once event was over. Event ended on Feb 21st. I figured I wouldn't get paid that fast and that and it would more be within in the 5-6 week range as most event/promotional work do pay. The contract stated 30 net days.
However, here I am 7 MONTHS LATER, still asking for payment. Still sending e-mails back and forth. Still getting the run around. Still dealing with excuses. Still not getting some of my e-mails responded to.
I first asked my account manager for payment on March 29, confirmed my address of where to send payment too as well, 5.5 weeks after event was complete. - to which Christy responded to and forwarded my email on to accounting. I never heard from accounting.
Then on the 18th of April, I followed up with another email stating that I still had not received payment nor have I had follow up from accounting. I again, asked for payment, confirming my address and payment amount. --- 2 days later, Apr 20, I heard from Chris saying...
"We are awaiting payment from the vendor on these shows. They are well over due and I have asked them to complete a transfer by the end of the week to clear up the account.
Our net check run is on the 30th of the month and I will be including them in that run. A must apologize as we never thought the vendor would let the invoice be unpaid for over 60 days.
You will get paid."
I thought ok great, an answer I will be getting paid and soon. -HA, I should have knocked on wood.
Well, more than an additional month passed brining me to May 26th, 3 months after finishing the event and still no payment. So I sent an additional e-mail. Asking again politely to be paid, confirming amount and my address --which hasn't changed at all. -- No response.
Life got busy and I let it go to the side, was thinking that I was kicking a dead horse and was about to let it go figuring it isn't worth the fight to get paid. But then I realized that YES it is, it is in writing. I held up my end of the bargain, I deserve to get paid. They can't do this to their independent contractors. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO shady and unprofessional.
So, I write to them again, on Aug 3rd. This time DEMANDING payment. Recapping all of my past history and requests for payment. Confirming once again my adress and payment amount, giving them an alternative to payment via paypal--so I could get payment immediately. --- 2 days later, This time I was given an excuse and told that NRG Australian Ski Wear has gone bankrupt (however, it looks like their website is up and selling items just fine and I can't find anything abour bankruptcy, besides the point that my contract was with BPI and not NRG, and it is BPI that needs to pay me not their client.) "We are working on it. NRG has gone bankrupt like may companies in America. We will get you paid. It just takes us to make up the profit from our other business. It should clear up soon.
The economy has caused many of our vendors be in financial stress. Even ones that have been good clients in the past. You will get paid and I am sorry this is taking so long. FYI Roberta no long works for us, she had a baby." - From Chris.
Then I responded to his email saying..."However, I can't wait for something to clear up "soon" any longer. This exteremly past due payment that you owe me needs to be cleared up IMMEDIATELY. You and your company have had more than enough time to make up the funds, as this particular event ended 5.5 months ago and the timeline I was given for payment originally was 2-4 weeks upon completion. Also, on April 20, 2011 you led me to believe that payment would again be in the near future. It is obviously, many months later now. I have been more than nice, professional and patient while awaiting payment from BPI Brand. Please do not put of this delinquint payment any longer." and additional stuff again confing all of my contact information, payment options, amount due etc. I never received a response back from them.
So now today, Aug 22nd, I sent another e-mail asking where my payment was, status etc. Stating I am kicking myself for not reading reviews prior to agreeing to work with them etc. Demanding payment by 29th Aug otherwise I am filing with the labor commission. Hopefully, payment will come soon but I am not too hopeful.
DON'T EVER, EVER WORK FOR OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. |

BPI says that their independent contractor contract ( that you have to sign in order to work) says that payment is processed after 30 days of the event or when they receive payment from the vendor. So this is what they hide behind. I'm going through the same thing with them right now. They are taking advantage of the fact that people need work due to the economy. Shameful. All they are doing is contributing to bad economy with their negligence. Anyone who would like to unite & try to do something about this, please let me know. Thank you. |
