Avon Products, Inc. Never got paid Internet |

I am a Avon rep. (Independent Sales Rep.) for Avon Products Inc. and have been working for them for 3 months now. I haven't been paid at all. I have read on here other people haven't either. The first week I was working for them or a month later, I was billed for something I didn't order. Apparently someone ordered something that had the first initial D in the first name and the assistant clicked on my name instead. My sales manager said she fixed it but she didn't, and so after that my bill included what I owed them for this hand cream that another women ordered which was $8.52 plus some other things that came to $28.77 and I kept emailing, txting, and leaving voice messages on her phone but she never answered. I only got her to answer a few times, and the changes haven't happened. When I finally ordered something it made me pay the order plus the $28.77 which came to $54.23 minus a few normal exceptions. I sent in what I owed which was $45.31 and told my sales manager that that's what I owe avon and I am not paying what the other women owes for her order. I ordered other items later on and it was held because of what I owed to avon which was $54.23 and I didn't pay the full amount. The sales manager fixed it and it was shipped. The total amount was $68.65 going off of what I had due of $28.77 in the beginning. Apparently my account was not reset and avon was still charging me. In the end I owed avon $151.65 and i'm supposed to get payed 40% of that which is $60.66 or more and haven't seen a cent. I emailed avon and this is what they said "(reps name), please know that as an Avon Representative, you are not an employee of Avon Products, Inc. You are an independent contractor purchasing merchandise from Avon to resell to customers. Since you are self employed, you will not receive a paycheck from Avon." The definition of self employment is earning one's living directly from one's own profession or business,as a freelance writer or artist, rather than as an employee earning salary or commission from another. Commission means: paid entirely or partially with commissions from sales one has made or for work one has done I am selling avon products and should be getting "commission" from them basically a percentage of what I sell, and my contract says I am Independent Sales Rep FOR Avon. What other type of Avon is there? I also specifically remember that I told my sales manager that I did not want to start my own business and that I wanted to just sell avon products and make money. I can't if they charge me for what I owe and claim what I earn. For instance if I make a order of $68.00 I get 40% of that which is $27.20 so I get that money and send in $40.80 but no avon wants the whole $68.00 which is what I owe them and my earnings. How can I get paid if they are taking what I should be getting plus the order amount and refusing to send me a check of what they owe me?! |
