I placed an order on 3/4/11 for a hitch and a grille guard for my 2006 Toyota Highlander. The on line order was placed with Auto Parts Warehouse and they assigned order number 10065104. The hitch was delivered by Fed-Ex within just a few days. The grille guard, being a heavier item, required truck line shipping. The shipment was given to Estes-Express truck lines and Auto Parts Warehouse gave me the tracking number 2180456155 (Which is Estes' PRO number). After waiting an appropriate number of days for truck line delivery, on 3/16/11 I inquired about delivery to Estes using the above tracking number. Estes-Express informed me the shipment was scheduled for delivery that day, 3/16/11. When the shipment didn't arrive that day, I again inquired the next day, 3/17/11 to be informed that their records showed delivery on 3/16/11. AND HERE'S WHERE THE FUN BEGAN...... I notified Auto Parts Warehouse whos' customer service phones are apparently answered in India. The talking heads on the phones stated that I was mistaken, that I had received the grille guard because that tracking number had been delivered by Estes Express. It did not seem to matter that the delivery address where tracking number 2180456155 was delivered is a business in Laurel, MD; not my home in Americus, GA. (I verified this with Estes several times and again as late as 4/14/11.) This same senereo played out day after day regardless of who I talked with or had email from. All of the above communications has been done by e-mail and/or phone. It is obvious that either the wrong tracking number was assigned to my item or my item went to the wrong address. I really don't give a damn which. I just want credit for $308.96 returned to my PayPal account immediately. I have already purchased the item elsewhere from an American owned and operated company. I have also taken steps to verify before I order that anything on line comes from an American owned and operated business. It appears there are many companies out there that know English words but have no clue as to how American business operates.
