Too many details to list, but suffice it to say that these guys will rip you off, and will not return phone calls, emails, or any other correspondence. They sell you kits with parts you don't need and tell you that if you don't buy the whole kit, they won't honor the warranty on the part you buy. The parts they sell are junk and don't work, and if you try to have them honor the warranty, they stonewall you.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!! I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BRINGING A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. |

This sounds like a Nissan or Infinity P0505 kit for a defective IAC Valve(Idle Air Control Valve) which allows excessive current through the ECM circuits and the solid state IAC controller, when this happens there is literally a mini explosion inside the ECM, and the ECM circuit short also sends unwanted voltage spikes through the TPS (throttle position sensor) and the IAT (intake air temp circuit) making the data input from these sensors unreliable which can lead to continued drivability concerns and the ECMs ability to re-learn idle settings causing the code p0505 to return. We also have discovered that low cost no name replacement components have a high failure rate causing repeated ECM failures with the mini explosion. If a module is rebuilt and re-installed in the vehicle with the cause of the condition not corrected the ECM will fail Immediately. We know this and offer a kit with the included replacement sensors and IAC. The parts we include in this Kit are OEM(original equipment manufactured) From Nissan/infinity parts supply. Customers are given a choice to procure these parts on their own to be replaced before an ECM is installed or purchase the kit with the ECM repair from us directly for this concern. If there is a repeat failure and the installer cannot provide receipts and confirmation the additional required parts were installed or if they did not purchase the Nissan OEM parts from us we will re-inspect the module for defects in our own workmanship. If the inspection reveals over amperage of the same circuit previously repaired. We void the repair warranty for failure to follow installation instructions and the customer has the option to pay us to repair the module again if it is still repairable or to purchase a replacement which we then re-iterate the importance of correcting the vehicle issues which cause the ECM to fail. I just wanted to sympathize with you. I am also dealing with AES and their customer service is awful.
I started out needing a rebuilt ecu @ $360 then my unit was determined to be beyond repair so it was another $150 for a "new unit" (which is actually used).
The new unit didn't work so I called AES and days and days later they finally tell me it has to be programmed by Nissan, something they previously told me would not be the case. So basically, I ended up wasting so much time and money I should have gone with a new ECU from Nissan. For your own sake, don't try to save a few bucks with AES, you will regret it in the end.
They also don't take refunds if you use the ECU, they are painfully slow getting back to you and getting the ECU back to you, and there manager argued with me instead of helping me.
Their whole business model is stupid because they don't want you to install the unit yourself (DIY) but what's the point then???? They only make sense if you want to save money and DIY. If you pay them and then pay a mechanic too you might as well have gotten a new ECU which is a better product and will end up costing you the same $ as AES. Buyers beware... AES is horrible. |

| I just had my experience with AES. I had a PCM that they repaired for me, but when I took it to the dealer the dealer spent 4 hours troubleshooting issues to find out the PCM was bad. Then I van had me upgrade for $100 to another PCM and that PCM would not work with my immobilizer. Then Ivan wanted me to pay another $82 to get a PCM/immobilizer pair. Now I am up to $900 and dealer costs that I would not have incurred if they sent a PCM that worked and was the proper configuration. I spent so much time and money dealing with them and my daughter's car for college still doesn't work. |
