On July of 2009 my wife and I signed up for AT&T's three G network, since that day it has been hell not being able to use my phone.
We purchased our phones from a store in Albany Or. they had this special going, you get two phones and a freelaptop computer, which i thought was a good deal, but no one had toldus of AT&T's greed for money.
This is what has taken place since we signed uo with them. We have paid them on time or beforeour bill date came. but when AT&T thinks they should get their money, then when you go to use yourphone, you have no service.
Yes they cut our bill before it was even due. so we had to get a neighbor to let us use their phone so we could call and compalin, and find out why this greedy company cut our servicesw.
Well after i got a hold of one employee, hewas probablywishingAT&Tnever cut our services. I waqs cussing and swaring and telling him he needed to get paid first, I told this little son of a (^%%(^$ he had better look to see that we had already paid this bill, three days before they cut us off. so he spent half hour looking for our info and kept demanding I pay him now or I was getting no service, I told him, we already paid that bill, andif he didn't get our services reconnected I will search him out, find him and do what I thought would be of satisfactory compensation for thethis services, and he would be drinking from a straw for the rest of his life.
Well lookie here I have services again but only when we paid them another $165.00 or what ever they were charging us then, its been a bit more since then. And this is because of the added service wehave, Txt ing. at $15.00 a month.
Now we had to get rid of AT&T's three G networthless because of the problems we have been having ever since we got them, and this is their failure toinform us that where we live is concidered to them as a dead zone, oh yeah, thats why I have not been able3 to connect, thats why I have to walk out to the street or down the block to get any kind of signal.
Then why did they give use the phones, I wouldtewll the customer, t5hat if you get this phone, you may not be able to connect where you live. Then I can see the customer waving ggodbye. because this is what I would have done. and we were not told of this info until a few months ago, I file3de more compalints with the FCC for fraud and over charging and connection trouble the day we got these phones. and every time I speak to AT&T all you hear is oh were sorry your having trouble with your phone, lets see if I can fix that, and it turns out they have never been able to fi8x this problem.
So I demanded my money back for the months I have not been able to9 connect, and I have yet to get any sort of refund.
It seems that every time I file a complaint with the FCC, my bill goes up and I have had enough of that craqp, so I gave the FCC full permission to retreive all documented evidence AT&T has on my phone, because they have been charging me for services we dont have and overusage charges for usages we don't use.
A few months back, we found that we had no I-net services, come to find out they claimed we overused their service t5hey provided us, I put that issue to rest, I asked this person to look at when we were last on line, and she found we had not been on line for a fe wdays and then made claim we were watching tv on line, I told this woman if she ever wanted to get another payment from us again the she needed to look further, and she did and we were credited for their so called overusage charges they attempted to get away with.
Now the bill has gone from $159.00 a month to over $200.00 a month, and has not been showing any signs of slowing yet. So I have a phone but no one can contact me or I am unable to make a call.
AT&T's would have been history months ago if the cust. serv. guy who had told me If I was to cancell, they would charge me, A cancell fee of $500.00, so I asked him who it was I called, and he said AT&T why? I said it almost sounded like I was talking with Qwest. He chuckles aqnd says no, were not. So I told him I thought he was.
So we will wait for the FCC outcome of this matter, because in my complaint, I told them that the info AT&T gave to mesaid that they are only allowed to charge me $5.00 a month for early cancellation. this guy said well I will split the Difference3 with you on the $500.00, I siad we'll see about that.
And this is where I sit.
