The photos speak for themselves. Hired this company to do patch work and repairs and I strongly suggest that anyone considering hiring this company come here and look at the work done on our farm (look us up LiLDonkeys.com in Dunnellon for an email address and phone). In one of the photos you can see a professional patch (not done by Stephen Standridge ASAP Asphalt Sealing & Paving LLC) and what patch work should look like when done properly. I gave this company ample time to come back and redo their work before writing this review but after numerous promises, Stephen Standridge stopped returning my calls. Almost all the work is flaking and disintegrating. One of their trucks leaked gear oil on our driveway. They ran out of gas for their roller so instead of 3 people working there were 2 while the owner drove to get gas. As a result the already cooling asphalt mixed cooled even more making it more difficult to put down correctly. The scarifier machine broke down. They ran out of ashphalt and had to come back the next day. They used a mix that both cooled down too quickly and they didn't use the correct mix for patching. A patch mix should have fine material in it so that it compacts correctly. They used a very coarse mix. They didn't pinch/crease the edges of the patches correctly with the roller so there is material hanging over that flakes away and takes the patch with it. The entire job from beginning to end was an absolute nightmare. A friend of mine also had work done by this same company including sealcoat work and is similarly unhappy with the work that was done. The $2635 I paid was an absolute waste of money. I could have done an equally poor job with cold patch and given the other $2000 to the Humane Society. At least I would feel better. Absolutely some of the worst work I have seen anywhere. I expect I will have to file a law suit in small claims court to recover my money. |
