This is a update on my feb 25, 2011 complaint against United States Van Lines. Since then United States Van Lines has made a settlement with my wife and I. When I first started raising hell with united states van lines, it was very frustrating! All I ever got was the run around with nothing being done. Finally I was passed to a supervisor named Cicely. At first we were not making any progress on any kind of settelment for our nightmare. It wasn't until I threatened a lawsuit, that we were offered $330.00 for an inconveince. We turned it down and eventually agreed on $450.00. Cicely did try to help as much as she could to make things right. When accounting did get around to giving us the "refund" they put it in the wrong account. Even after being told many, many, times which account to put it in. That being said, it took an extra week to get the 450.00. During all my hell raising at the beginning, I kept requesting to speak with the owner, Mr. Aldo Disorbo. I was always told you cant speak to him. About a week ago, Mr Disorbo called me and was very bothered that my wife and I were unhappy with our move, and that we posted a complaint on 2-25-2011. He wasn't happy that we called United States Van Lines cons and scams! We discussed my complaints about everything that occured during our move and Mr. Disorbo did give my wife and I another $306.00 for our displeasure. I was surprised when Mr. Disorbo called, because I assumed after we got the 450.00 that we were done. Mr. Disorbo, we do appreciate that you got involved with this matter. I would suggest that you do a little house cleaning with some of your employees. Customer service is not one of your companys strong points. I think Robert and Alvin should be working at a used car lot and not at your brokerage. One of the reasons I called USVL cons, is because they are not a moving company. They need to tell customers at the very beginning that they are a broker. Would I use United States Van Lines again? Probably not. If you have any complaints with USVL, ask to speak to Cicely or Mr. Disorbo. Do your research before you hire a mover! |
