| I worked here for about 2 months and when I say I worked hard I worked really hard. I was putting in about 60-70 hours a week and doing a hell of a job. I wasn't paid for 4 weeks and when I asked for my paycheck the owner (jillian) told me tomorrow. So tomorrow came and still no check. I quit the next day for obvious reasons but I was civil about it and just said "i quit thanks for the opportunity and good luck with everything". The next morning I received 3 malicious voicemails from the owner (ashley). She said some really unprofessional things to me and I also had a few choice words for her as well but she was the one who called me at 8 in the morning cursing and accusing me of stealing food and scamming them for hours (at this point she was just making stuff up to yell at me). Both owners are pathological liars and will say or do anything to point the finger at someone else. I would also like to mention that they are really bad with paying off food suppliers and linens deliveries and anything else that has to do with paying people for services. They also owned another restaurant called The Bistro in our Town which they closed because they said they could open 5 mac and cheese places to 1 Bistro which is fine but they didn't pay any of the employees that worked there that had owed money to for various lengths of time. I don't think their business is going anywhere anyway but I just thought I would let people know my experience dealing with them. |

| These people are complete scam artists. I am thinking of beginning a class action lawsuit against them or seeking criminal charges against them. If anyone had supporting evidence or would like to be part of the lawsuit / allegations, please let me know. It is my understanding that businesses they have owned in the past include: Ash's Noodles, The Bistro at Our Town, Starting Forever, and the Fairfield House at the Fairfield Shopping Center in Exton. All of these businesses seem to have scammed people in the past... |

I am part of the LARGE group of employee's who are still owed money from Ashley and Jillian. These two people are scam artists!
I would definitely be interested in pursuing criminal charges and be a part of a lawsuit!! |

| I don't know if any of you worked there when I did, but Jilian is one of the nicest people I have ever worked for! She did owe me money but paid me off when she could, and I know other people who did get paid! |

2626love - Unless you're writing on behalf of Jillian Godfry or Ashley Stratton Melillo (she uses the latter of last names to dodge the horrendous online reputation associated with the name Ashley Stratton), then who cares how "nice" Jillian is?
I agree - Jillian is very friendly face-to-face. She's bubbly, agreeable, and extremely skilled at telling people what they need to hear. But underneath that blatant facade, she's simply a stooge for Ashley Melillo's horrifying, sociopathic rage. And because Jill is willing to lie directly to your face, she could very well be worse than the coward Ashley Stratton (who uses Jill and other people in her life to buffer her blatantly psychotic behavior).
Do yourself a favor and conduct a quick Google search for keywords "Jillian Godry Ashley Melillo Stratton scam" (or a variation). There's your Pandora's box of complaints by vendors, ex employees, and customers who have suffered because of these two criminally negligent, awful business owners.
Let's quickly review the terrifying business past of Jillian Godfry and Ashley Stratton:
Starting Forever and The Wedding Market LLC: A blatant scam where Ashley Stratton/Melillo would charge wedding retailers an exorbitant monthly fee to showcase their items to an empty showroom. Go ahead and Google search for "Ashley Stratton Starting Forever" and see all the jilted vendors. In addition, I can't even begin to describe how many lives of engaged couples Ashley ruined.
The Bistro: Originally located on Strasburg Road in Exton, PA, the -original- Bistro restaurant is associated with unpaid employees, criminal behavior by Ashley Stratton and Jillian Godfry, ripped off customers, and unpaid rent. The restaurant was closed down in this location.
The Bistro at Our Town: It astounds me how Ashley Stratton and Jillian Godfry could even get APPROVAL to open this restaurant on Main Street in Exton from July-December 2011. I guess the power of reverting to your maiden name of Melillo has a lot of pull at a loan company.
The Bistro at Our Town was a disgraceful nightmare of a restaurant as well. Just like the former Bistro, this kitchen used convection ovens and induction burners -without- a hood system installed. This is both a violation of health code standards and a pathetically inadequate setup for any legitimate restaurant.
Check the Chester County Health Department records - the Bistro at Our Town received a 75% rating in October 2011, which is borderline for shutting a restaurant down. Frankly, I’m surprised the restaurant -wasn’t- closed for health code violations.
From unpaid employees and vendors to horrendous Health Department reviews, the Bistro at Our Town failed on practically every level. And while a failed business venture may initially seem sad, it's not so sad when the owners deceive, rip off, scam, and lie to everyone related to the business (servers, kitchen workers, dishwashers, vendors, the list goes on and on).
Go ahead and Google search "Bistro at Our Town criminals." You'll see complaints across the board from those who were victimized by the criminal activities of Ashley Stratton and Jillian Godfry.
Ash's Naked Noodle: Last but certainly not least, you have Ashley and Jillian's West Chester, PA establishment. This outlet was folly from the start.
A Google search for "Ash's Naked Noodle does not pay" reveals multiple complaints and warnings from the working class of foodservice - college students, down-and-out dishwashers, devoted workers - all who weren't paid for their service during the transition between the Bistro at Our Town and Ash's Naked Noodle.
Even seemingly positive reviews for Ash's Naked Noodle (like a West Chester Dish article) reveal the criminal behavior of Ashley Stratton/Melillo and Jillian Godfry in the comments. Employees across the board are speaking out against these two. They want the public to know that this behavior, of repeated instances of unpaid wages, threats, intimidation, and lies, will not be tolerated.
As you'd probably expect, Ashley Stratton and Jillian Godfry have a way of dodging guilt and blame. Jill cheerfully denies responsibility in the aforementioned "nice" way. Ashley partakes in a series of threats and intimidation tactics against all the former employees and vendors, accusing them of "scamming" her for money. Are you kidding? SHE has the audacity to accuse others of scamming HER?
It's unfortunate that so many young people (West Chester University college students, primarily) had to learn the hard way that not everyone in this world is good. So 2626love, while Jillian Godfry may be "nice" in person, her serially criminal pattern of deceptive and disgusting behavior with business partner Ashley Stratton makes her a terrible person to work with, work for, and personally know.
Jill - Do yourself a favor and cut ties with sociopath Ashley Stratton.
Ashley - Do yourself a favor and retire and move to a different country. Don’t EVER start a business again. |

| I cannot believe people would actually write on here that Jillian Godfry is the nicest person they've ever worked for. She is WORSE than Ashley. Great, you know people who did get paid...that's saying nothing. I myself am owed over $500, however most of my other coworkers, including my boyfriend are owed over $1500, one of our cooks is owed SALARY, and has a two year old son to take care of. Do not confuse being nice with being a good business owner. The two are not comparable in the least, and Jill and Ashley are neither nice people nor good business owners. They are scam artists who are now on the run from us, their lawyers, etc. but are still trying to open up new franchises to continue their scam. They now owe their bankruptcy lawyer thousands of dollars. There is no reason for any business to simply not pay their employees. You say you know people who got paid like that is some kind of accomplishment...a restaurant that PAYS their employees? Huh, strange world... In the grand scheme of things the money I am owed is not that much, however, it is still a month's rent for a poor college student plus some, and the thousands of dollars they owe others I am close with is just outright wrong. I hope they get what's coming to them. |

UPDATE: Here's the apparent news about these two criminals:
Ashley and Jill are currently working as cooks at West End Youth Center in Allentown, PA. The address is 848 North 20th Street, Allentown, PA. They also are making regular appearances at the Scotch Plains Farmer's Market - Scotch Plains Township Administration, 430 Park Ave, Scotch Plains, PA. They're usually there from 8:00-2:00 on Saturdays.
