We made a really big mistake buying products from Aquakleen. We were not planning to buy the water system because it was too expensive and we just barely moved in our new home. The specialist told us that we can try the system for 7 days and if we don't want the system, they will take it out at no cost. We called the special system list after a few days and informed him that we didn't want the system because there was another company that was offering us the same system for half the price. When we informed the specialist to take out the system out of our house, the specialist offered us a discount just for us to keep the water system. There is no date on the contract for cancellation and it was left blank. Furthermore, the specialist did not inform us about the time period for cancellation. We where forced to buy a water softener, a water treatment system and a reverse osmosis water filtering. We had to pay $4,364.54 for these products. This system is very expensive, and not to mention the financing for amount that you owe never goes down. We have had the system for a little over a year and we ended up paying the full amount of $4,464.54 because the interest rate is so high and the amount you owe will never go down if you only pay the minimum amount every month. Aquakleen made us believed that we were going to save some money using their. They made us believed that we were going to use less soap, less shampoo etc... but instead we ended up paying $160 just interest every month. After calling and leaving messages for the last 12 months I finally got hold of the specialist the first week of March 2011. I voiced out my concerns and complaints to the specialist and we were asking for the discount the specialist had promised us when we first bought the system. The specialist told us that someone from Aquakleen corporate would call us and help us with our complaints. Again, after a week of calling and leaving messages to the specialist, finally someone called us from the corporate. But when we brought up our complaint the person told us that they will give us a call the next day to further discuss the problem. Now it has been 3 weeks and we haven't received any call from Aquakleen and they have been avoiding our calls. All we get is a text message from the specialist saying that someone from the corporate will call us. If Aquakleen really believed in their system they should take this problem seriously and give us a call. We are really disappointed on how Aquakleen is not taking any actions regarding this matter. We want a full refund and have the Aquakleen "water refinement system" out of our house! |
