My name is Melissa C****, my 90 year old grandmother ordered a $3000.00 spa tub from Applianceconnections.com on March 23rd. After weeks of waiting the spa tub was delivered to our home on 4/10. The delivery driver did not wait for my husband to check the shipment and left almost immediately after dropping the shipment, the crate had a label that stated , "please inspect within 24 hours so we didn't think too much about the delivery driver leaving. My husband opening the crate approximately 15 minutes after the driver left our home and discovered that the tub had a broken head rest. The company was notified of this damage and they insinuated that we had damaged this merchandise because we excepted delivery of it and they stated that had no way to know that we didn't damage this merchandise. After much disagreement and multiple threats and accusations from this company they asked us to keep the tub with the damaged head rest and the company advised us that it would be weeks for them to replace it if in fact the manufacturer had a replacement we reluctantly agreed to a $250.00 discount so we could fix the headrest ourselves. The next day we found a hairline fracture to the entire back of the tub which is not damage that can be repaired and the company was contacted again, within that original 24 hour time frame that was on the package. This time the company told us that my husband agreed to keep this tub as is and that we were not going to receive a refund or a new tub. My husband agreed to keep this tub with a broken head rest that could be repaired not a tub that could not be repaired and still be safe to use.We provided the company with pictures of the tub still on the palate that it was delivered on in the box it came in with the damage and they again stated that we damaged it and that they were not going to do anything. Never once did they ask to speak to my grandmother and they knew that they were not dealing with her, nor did they ever ask if my husband had the authority to conduct business on her behalf. |
