This clinic is a death trap! More terrible are the stories I hear every time I mention them. Unproffesional and incompitent. There is nothing worse than a doctor or anyone in the healing proffesion who does more harm than good. Treating animals, who are perhaps the most vulnerable and innocent patients on earth, is an important responsibility. They are unable to speak for themselves and are the most loving beings that exist. They are our friends and our family members. As pet owners know, a pet is will always be there for you, they ask nothing in return. Taking care of them is all they ask, for that, and for love. When I came home to find that my darling cat Wallie was vomitting profusely I called the only emergency center open, Animal Emergency Service. I took him in where after a brief inspection he was kept away from me for hours. He had swallowed a string that became wrapped around his tongue and traveled down into his intestines. One solution was offered as acure, a $3,000.00 surgery. Unable to afford this I asked for the next best thing. 3 hrs passed until they suggested fluids be given... seriously? After 4 hrs and $550.00 spent on "Care", I took him home. Lethargic and dehydrated he lay there. The vet,Dr. Jen Grossman, had said that as the next best thing they had cut the string to stop him from vomiting and having his intestinal track sawed away by the rigorous tugging of the intestines on the coarse fine fiber within his intestinal tract. Opening his mouth I saw the string was stilled tightly wrapped around his tongue traveling down into his body. This, I was told was very damaging, life threatening and terribly painful as anyone could tell, I came back to see another Dr., Dr. Lamb, who ensured me that Dr. Grossman was a "nice" lady. I said just cut the string and help him. I had her preform the task in my presence, she unwraveled the string in no more than seconds. Wallie, my pewt, had to receive a substantial amount post care but surrived, all with the help from another clinic. I called to file a comlaint to Dr.Kirk who, as Dr. Lamb, did not apologize, did not accept responsibilty but "talked". This clinic is only in opperation due to the hours they are open when no other clinic can afford it. This is evident in thehigh turn over of staff and outrageous rates. Your pets will be put on a conveyer belt to slaughter. I am sickened and disheartened by their actions. |
