AMO Smart Saver Rewards
I receive no benefit
17th of Mar, 2012 by vrbarrett
I discovered automatic monthly debits in the amount of $14.95 against my credit card and have no idea why. The only information on my statement is AMO Smart Saver Rewards. When searching the Internet, I came across your web-site allowing me to file a complaint. If I knew who the company was, I would contact the company. But, as it is, I am being charged a monthly fee for something that I not only receive no benefit, but I don't even know who or what is supposed to supply the benefit, or what the benefit should be.

I also was charged $14.95 but caught it in time to cancel. After cancelling I find that I now have a $1.95 debit on my checking account which I did not authorize. I don't even know who AMO Smart Saver is.

the smart saver rewards program is something you did authorize at first for the 1.95 for the first month. when you ordered something through an catalog company either online or on the phone. if you ordered your clothing/etc over the phone you authorized the charge by entering in the last four digits of your phone #. that started the process. a phone number at that time was given to you and a packet of membership materials was sent to you via mail. call the clothing catalog company you ordered from at the time of the time and get the phone number for the rewards program so you can cancel.

I ordered the 40 day Wealth Drawing [email protected] Kit working with Lakshmi. I have been temping for a very long time and desperately needed a permanent job with benefits. The company I was temping for was hoping to offer me the job I was doing but there was a corporate takeover, blah blah, and other factors and it didn't look possible. There were also no other opportunities coming up. I did the Wealth Drawing [email protected] (I also used a picture of Lakshmi that I had to help me focus while doing the mantra). What I was hoping for was a certain amount of money at once but what I got, a few days after completing the 40 days was much better...it was exactly the amount I was asking for but it came in the form of a yearly salary and a permanent job. Things just seem to start opening up. The company got permission to offer me the job, I have benefits and a pretty good salary coming in. So, even though it might not be exactly the way you want it, at least in my case, I got what I needed and then some. And the attar oil that comes with the kit smells wonderful! People think it's perfume and I have gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Thanks,

You can try calling : Monday - Friday between 9:00a - 5:30p ET at 1-866-679-8655.

I received a full refund for all 7 months they charged me.

I e-mailed the store I made an online purchase thru ( and thought their site signed up for the reward saver not really realizing what I was getting into).

I explained to them that I was unhappy about the less than professional way AMO did business and I couldn't find a number to reach them. The company I made the purchase thru contacted AMO and I got the refund.

Thought e-mail the refund was confirmed and I received this phone number in case I had any further question. Hope this helps someone. Good luck.

This happened to me too. Evidently I had checked the "yes" box to save $15 when making an online purchase. I called the company and told them to discontinue my accont. 866-679-8650. Then I called my credit card company and had them issue a different card # so that the AMo Smart Saver company won't have the account number. The credit card co. is going to dispute the last charge. Hope this helps.

Workinretail described exactly how enrolled in SmartSaverRewards. I received a magazine with the same title title and describing the program and exactly how it works. If you weren't expecting it you could have easily tossed it thinking it was ust another cataloue. It said to contact them at 1-866-679-8650 to cancel your membership. They will probably be able to tell you how, when, and who got you enrolled in the club.I am a new member, so I cannot testify to the credibility or effectiveness of the membership. Good luck. Thank you Lacottman53. The phone number that appeared on my checking account said it was no longer in service. So I looked up AMO Smart...and seen your post. I was able to contact customer service by using this and canceled the charges. What happened was I ordered clothing online and somehow they got my information and said I signed up for this. Which if I did, I must have been asleep. I don't sign up for this kind of crap. So, I'll see if they credit me in a couple days. Again, thanks for sharing the phone number.

The same thing is happening to me and I have no idea how I received this. I gave no authorization for this transaction to take place. I too can not find out who the company is. This phone number, 866-679-8650, is at the end of the transaction on my bank statement, however I was unable to contact them yet.

I reciently noticed this $14.95 charge from AMO* SMART SAVER RWD on my credit card and traced it back to a catalog order from Monterey Bay Clothing. Apparently I "agreed" to allow them to charge my credit card when I gave them my email address, my zip code and checked an box agreeing to it. I have no proof that I did not agree to this monthly charge. I asked for it to be removed by notifying the phone number given on my statement. This is fraud, pure and simple which means that these companies are making millions of dollars on unsuspecting card holders. Notify your state consumer fraud agencies.

I have the same complaint. The charges started appearing on a joint credit card. After 4 months I finally asked my husband what this was for, he called the number and found out I enrolled when I made a purchase from Iinensource.com. I did call 1-866-679-8650 and will be getting a refund, they say. But how did they get all my personal information and credit card number? I have canceled my card as a precaution. I called linensource.com, so they would know. Also, if you are really enrolled you are supposed to get a package in the mail and coupons through e-mail. I have not received anything from them. To me it appears as though smart savers is getting members even though the members don't sign up.

I was also charged for the same amount and heading. I called to the company directly and he assured that he will give me full refund and the time will take according the credit card company. The reason he charged those amount was that I bought clothing from Old Pueblo Traders and I agreed on the reward program they have. I do agree that I bought clothing from them but unsure about agreeing on reward program. I hope that I will get my full refund. This is the number I contacted with them: 866-679-8650. I hope this will help to other people to solve their existing issue.

The same thing happened to me. I was charged 14.95 for seven months until I noticed it on my American Express. I called 866-679-8650 (AMO Smart Saver Rewards- somewhere in AZ) and the monthly charge was canceled. But, I am out $104.65. Supposedly, I signed up for it through Linen Source which I will never order from again.
